Post by: bliss on October 07, 2008, 12:21:54 PM
Explaining why progressions are ultimately no different from flat betting.

If we read this article we can stop the forum. It's meaningless we can't beat the game.

I didn't mean to imply that you can't beat the wheel, just that you should try to find a method which wins flat-betting. A progression on its own will never turn a losing system into a winning one.

I understand. But I read your other post in the full system section to Mr. Chips. There you say that each trail is independent and can not be connected to past spins right? So if we see the pay out and each trail is independent we can never win.

But I think trails are connected, I give you 300.000 spins and numbers 1 t/m 30 have come all up 10.000 times. I'm sure when you bet the coming 60.000 spins on 0-31-32-33-34-35-36 all flat bets. You make more wins than losses.

Sorry, but this article is nonsense.  Progression can change losing or break-even session into a winning session with less than 50% hit rate on betting selection.

A progression could cause you to lose more quickly as well!

The article is OK, its your basic twaddle from math boyz. They fail to mention that if you have even a small edge, progressions are a wonder. Mark Howy is an expert on the real reasons progressions don't work, look in the archives at GG..

"Casino managers are subject to the same superstitions as players. They cannot rid themselves of the notion that there might be such a thing as an unbeatable system. And that's why they are always on the alert, sidling up to people writing things in notebooks"

LOL! They aren't as dumb as they look. Suits regularly want to see what I'm writing. Sometimes I show tham, sometimes I don't.
