Title: spin testing?
Post by: ryan08 on October 21, 2008, 04:44:44 PM
how many spins would be sufficient to test a system, if a system holds up for 5000 would that be ok?

5000 is Ok Ryan, I would say 10,000 would be a better test to see if it's got a chance.....

Good luck to you....[smiley=thumbsup.gif]

If you visit the Wizard of Odds pages you will have his take on it.  But he is a statistician by trade.

For the folks who only get to the casinos a few times a month and only can play for a few hours per visit then xman's 10k would probably be sufficient.

However, when testing a plan doing 5k per series and maybe doing 8-10 series would probably fully enlighten you as to some of the 'worst case scenarios' you will encounter.

Once you have encountered them then it is time to formulate a plan to be able to both recognize them (at the outset) plus counter them.  Even if that means quitting if they cannot be overcome.

Continuous testing (hopefully using actuals) can only lead to full reassurance that the plan works or that it is bound to fail.

Maybe when failure occurs (and it will) you are sufficiently ahead so that it doesn't hurt the bottom line and you are still up for the month/quarter/year. That's why it is wise to establish a separate account for game play and only use it for casino visits.  After time and sufficient profit, then and only then, withdraw some funds for personal use.

Get rich and famous.
