Title: THE SPLIT G.U.T. (humble appologies to winkel)
Post by: TwoCatSam on December 03, 2008, 03:51:28 PM
OK, here's the deal!!

We will be able to use certain splits (24 in all) as if they were numbers on the roulette wheel.  We will, in effect, have a 24 number wheel where zero does not count until you're betting.  Then, sadly, you loose!!

Let's take the first street, 1 2 3.  Just going one way, you have two splits available:  The 1-2 and the 2-3.  (I know the 1-4 is also a split, but we won't be running from top to bottom with those splits.)  What we hope to accomplish is to have a shorter version of the G.U.T.

OK, we begin just like the normal G.U.T.

Our largest crossing the 0 v 1 will occur at 12/11.  (We could not have 13/12 as that adds up to 25 splits; more than we have.)  So when we reach the point where  we have 12 splits that have not hit vs 11 that have hit once and somewhere there is one that has hit more than once.

I see this playing just exactly like the numerical G.U.T, only faster.  I am also thinking of a Street G.U.T. where we bet streets.

I am going to create some charts and do some testing on the numbers I save each day as I play.

Comments?  Laughing heads??

Here's where it gets strange!!

In the following splits 1/2 and 2/3--only the 1 and 3 can form that split.  Why?  Suppose the 2 hits while you're charting.  Is that a 1/2 or a 2/3.  I know in the "real world of roulette" it is both.  So while you're charting and the 2 hits, what do you do?  Discard it.  Furget it!  Toss it in the dumpster; it don't count!

Going down the line, all the numbers in the second column cannot form a split, but they can win it.

I am also thinking those 12 numbers can neither form a split or win.  If you bet the 1/2, only the 1 can win.  What happens if the 2 hits?  Gravy!

Well, that's it so far.  Time to create the charts and do some testing.

Hi TCS,

just don´t do it.

1. It is not a game on the wheel but on the table. And the table is misleading you
2. On streets you will also get the same problem and misleading.

I´ve checked it already. It doesn´t work.

If you refer to the "Splits" or "Streets" on the wheel (which would work)  you end up playing single numbers (by placing needs)

If you like to test it, do it without money only

winkel!!

We've missed you!!

OK, it's just for fun.  No money involved.

Now that I have your ear, so much of what you have said I have found to be true.  I study the crossings daily.  I am still not perfect, but I'm approaching $1100 in winnings!!

Thank you, Dear winkel, and good health to you!!

Even though winkel says this will not work, I am creating a Track4 on paper to try it with.  If anyone is interested, I will post my testing.

While I have all the faith in winkel, I cannot see from this point why it would not work.

I have created the chart and am training the brain to work almost as fast as Track4.

So, inquiring minds might want to know, what is ol' TwoCat doing this?  Because I want to eventually get to Riverbelle Live and they require a minimum of $10 per number OR $10 per split or corner or street.  So, if I can make this work, I will have a smaller bet there and can play.

Riverbelle is one of the oldest and bets touted casinos on the web.

Is there anyone even slightly interested in this?  "No" doesn't hurt my feelings.  Or silence.

Good old friend,

don´t do it!

1. The system you are creating must fail:
- if a split is hit by one number it is what? a ">0" of course but not a "1"
- if a split is hit on both numbers it is a ">1" but not a "2" and perhaps a "1"
- if a split is hit twice on the same number but not on the second, what is it then?
- if a split is hit 4 times on one number it may be a something and when you have to bet it due to a crossing, you are also betting some kind of "0" as well!

2. If you can solve above problems I could recommend following:
Include the Zero as a full split (Imagine it like the American Wheel 0 / 00)
then you have 13 splits (one with double payout)

3. Don´t use the table-layout due to your Problem with a first hit on 2nd Col.
Use this:
1-2 3-6
4-5
7-8 9-12
10-11
and so on

or
1-4 2-5 3-6
7-10 8-11 12-15
and so on

4. If you wanna play it with real money don´t start that high. check if the Casino wants a "table-minimum" of 10 - layout possible by 10 times 1 $ or 5 times 2$

5. Check this Casino: betvoyager
I don´t know if they accept you
But they payout 37 on plein absolutely no house edge
Betting EC: full refund of bet-units if Zero appears

I have printed your post and will study it thoroughly.

I will never bet real money until I see it work a long time on paper.

Thanks for your concern!  Sometimes I just have to go a certain direction for a while.

I'm actually going to build those darn wheels of enrique's!!

You're a good man, Charlie Brown!  I'll report back.  Your idea of the 0/00 is great.  I may use this thing on our U.S. 00 wheels.

All.......

I have given this a lot of thought and some testing.  I have come to the conclusion winkel is right; it won't work.
