Title: Even Money (The Chop?)
Post by: darrencasino on December 19, 2008, 11:27:27 PM
I've recently started playing Baccarat. I am now liking the idea of even money bets.

I think I was informed that 'the chop' in Baccarat is P B P B P B P B e.t.c

So..in Roulete..it could go R B R B R B R B R B R B

May I ask..what is the longest red/black sequence as in R B R B R B R B R B that is known, or
how far you have known it to go.

Thanks guys. Happy Holidays/Christmas.

Any sequence that you choose ahead of time, whether it be 8 red, 8 black, or 8 RB will have the same odds of coming out. i.e. you will see RBRBRBRB about as often as you see RRRRRRRR, or about 1 in 500 sequences of eight. As for the longest stretch, well... If you saw 1000 spins every day for 60 years (possible on an RNG), then you would see about 22 million spins, and the longest prechosen sequence you would likely personally see is about 22. You may hear about longer sequences, but keep in mind that this takes place over thousands of wheels spinning 24/7, not a number of spins you're likely to see personally.

Hi darrencasino,

Based on my humble experience, I'm gonna have to second what Ravon said here.

Best regards and happy holidays,
Marven

hi darrencasino

The question should be why you ask, are you betting aginst a sequense of R and B alternating.
That is not a good idea.

When you get R and B you would like to get LWLWLWLWLWLWLWLWLWL and stop playing if it ends with two loses LL.
But the tricky part with a betting shema to follow the wheel is that you would have to have a lot of dicipline.

One good beginner strategy that I see some one post at GG at baccarat section hade the name FLEX and I think it could be a good start to practice with that kind of play.
The thing is that nothing is due and could hit the extreme or go back to back many times.

Happy winnings to all
