There are almost 2000 members here and so far 3 or 4 have or are going to make an donation :o I will make mine next week.
2000 X 10 dollars = 20.000 dollars. Lett's say 1/4 makes an donation still is 500 X 10 = 5000 dollars. I do not expect everyone to make an donation however as we are at large here we can easily make an " change " ( LOL ).
C'mon, those who can show their dollars or euros in these troubled times are the real players ;D !!

Carlitos,
Great that you start this topic. Most people say ''I will, but don't''. Let's keep the forum alive.
I'm in and did my deposit (5,-) for January.
C'mon guys, cheaper than any system out there and so much more valuable information.
Victor said the costs were $160 p/m didn't he? so if only 1.6% of members (32 people) donate $5 p/m, that's enough.
Anyone got a system that makes $5 per month? ;D
Is there a way to donate without using Paypal?
Thanks JHM ;D!!
Well there you have it Bliss  We need only 32 people...... out of 2000!!
Something that can be done, so c'mon folks!!

There's no need to have paypal mate. At the lower part of joining page you can read: "
Don't have a PayPal account? Use..."
.........c'mon folks still needed 28 people....... ::)

This non-support is sad and insulting.
I would have thought a hundred people would be giving a fiver by now.
Sam
I also would have thought that some more support would be in place. Just think about the time and effort Victor is putting into this.
If he would charge for the hours etc........ Off course he does not but an bit more support to balance his input would be justified.

I'm willing to donate every month. How do I do it?

I just tried and it rejected my try. It seems that I had an account with paypal that I tried to get rid of years ago. It won't let me not use paypal and I don't want my paypal account. Somebody hacked paypal a few years ago for identity theft purposes. I haven't kept up on the actual damage it might have caused. Now I have to go deal with those clowns. I truly hate half thought out internet security and bungling database administrators that think there are only their needs to consider.

You don't need to be an active paypal user, at the lower part of join page look for: "
Don't have a PayPal account? Use..."
Of course, you can always create another paypal account.
Cheers & Thanks too!

It's OK. I just logged in after 7 years and it was all there just as I left it. That credit card was canceled just as I had requested too. So I'm transferring mooolah into my paypal account, 3-5 days.
So you can count on $10 per month from me. I still want you to keep an open mind about an outside sponsor. You know $200 per month is nothing in advertising? Some strip bar somewhere could have a banner with some real cute girls on it. It could be a real laugh, Bob's TT-Bar, Pahrump, NV. You know something, they actually have a real gentleman's club there, right across from the Winery on the main highway into town.
I have several virtual credit cards that were gifts and I would like to make one time payments instead of having it taken out of the same card every month. Is that possible?
You can make a member section where there are a programmer involved and make him set up an online feature where members can set up their system with reasonable little effort and test their systems against a data base of 1.000.000 spins and get a print out of the entire test. Settings should involve only betting like the first 50 spins of each day which a lot of people thinks makes a difference in the long run. For more complicated system testing, the programmer could add a feature every time its needed and get paid whatever he find would be appropriate. I can send 350.000 spins from 6 different casinos and the rest could easyli be downloaded from Wiesbaden, Berlin, Hohen Syburg etc. Maybe also a feature where one could set up the system and automaticly receive the daily spins from Wiesbaden and automaticly generate a computer generated result with the parameters the member has set up.
Each running test should be accesable for all paying members and maybe small competitions could be made.
Maybe other features too and only accesable for members that has made a donation. The donations should cover VLS expenses and the programmers fees. That way the members actually gets something they won`t be able to get anywhere else, and all the slingshot arguments about what works and what does not could be ended for ever, because the systems could just be ran through the data base and the result would speak for itself.
Actually, i can get my hands on 4.000.000 spins.
Nice idea Kelly !!

Very nice idea indeed
Spike,
I have done the same. I just transfer my deposit every month. So yes that's possible. Victor can tell you more about it. Great to see members are joining with donations.
Kelly,
Your idea spooked through my mind. The forum for main thinking and brainstorming. A member area, where the most valuable (new) information can be shared without the whole world knowing it.
Yah, i agree JHM !!

For the invaluable reference material here, most worth it. This became more evident when it we couldn't log on recently.
Typical, don't miss it til it's gone :'(
Just signed up for my sponsorship. Well worth it for the knowledge I have got from this forum. Still losing more than I win though, but I'm sure it will change in the future.
I should be able to cover the monthly sponsor cost easily with Victor's 5 line lw method!
Thanks to the fellows who are already sponsoring & showing support, one way or another (not only in money, but also with your posts and supportive words).
In spanish there's a saying: "arroparse hasta donde le llega la cobija" which translates as: "to pull the covers up to where far reaches the blanket".
Right now what matters is to get off the shared environment and lock guaranteed server resources for us (to have guaranteed ram & guaranteed processing power, so performance and load is only messed with by us, witout any external interference, not even at peak times).
Even if not getting a full-blown package, this is a great step for a site.
Spike, please check your PM inbox.
Kelly, terrific idea! Once we move, I will provide a FTP account & password for you to upload those actuals. They will for sure be handy for testing bot scripts.
Question for U.S. posters >>> I can not use pay pal for.....private reasons. This will sound odd but can someone use pay pal and I'll send you the money via mail. I think everyone here knows I will send it. Its the easiest way for me. Send me a PM or email if interested, thanks. Ken
Hello Ken & All,
I can setup any other secondary e-currency processor (i.e. moneybookers or any other). There's a conversion fee attached at the e-currency convertors to move to paypal, but better to afford it than preventing some to collaborate for not having (or not wanting to use) paypal.
Which one should I setup? Can you do moneybookers.com Ken?
Regards.
Victor,
I'd like to support our board but I've got an issue...
I want to use my debit card (don't have PayPal account), but in 2-3 months time I'll need to cancel my
sponsorship from this debit card and change it with another one. Is that possible? I mean cancellation
of sponsorship by debit card (not PayPal). Thanks in advance.
Regards,
m
Sure Mistar, that's entirely possible! Hit sponsorship banner's cancel button at previous month from card expiration date and then join again at a later time with the new card.
You could also load a paypal account with several different cards anytime.
Paypal "tax" is paid at receiver's end so say you wan to sponsor a year @ $5/mo, then you could load sixty bucks using perhaphs $25 from a card and $35 from another, have $60 at the account and forget about it for a whole year.
Please notice our single cancel button clears all types of subscriptions, both from cards and those using paypal money, so it is certainly hassle-free.
Hey! Thanks for your kindness to support mate! Only few days to go!
Hey Ken,
if you still need help, lemme know. I'm already sponsoring/donating to the site, so I can just increase it by your amount and then send me the money.
Cheers,
Matt
Hi folks
Im in.
Just gonna have to work that G.U.T. a little harder !! ;)

@ Victor,
I signed up for donations a few days ago, but I just remembered that the email address associated with the paypal account is different from the one I have registered on the forum, so do I need to update the forum email address to the paypal address? otherwise, you won't know it's "me" right?

Paypal will e-mail you that it went through. It's an interesting question though, because that e-mail address is part of the sponsored area sign in.
Just signed up. Good work, Victor!
Ron.
Just made my donation to the forum.

Marven, at least you are not alone supporting the forum !!
Carlitos 8)
Yep! :)
It would be great if we can prove to everyone that this forum CAN be self-financed/supported.

Thanks Hoper, Carlitos & Marven.
I'm taking 1-time donations dividing them <amount> / 12, as to make it equivalent to a regular sponsorship and rely for a yearly average. Long-term plans here :)
Only one more day to go, then we upgrade. As we are right now we can average to afford locking resources at a server (not a whole dedicated, but our own guaranteed ram & processing power, locked from the shared environment, which is a huge step).
Hopefully some more fellow members sum as sponsors today, then with whatever adds we move tomorrow. I'm not that concerned as to the disk-space as I'm with the amount of ram... scrubbing the web for best deals as we speak... not most cheapy (as in shared), but best (as in VPS with the most RAM/Space we can get for the buck)!
Our site deserves it. Bye bye shared environment, hello dedicated resources! :)
