Title: Online RNG - Multiplayer Tables?
Post by: MattyMattz on January 26, 2009, 05:04:34 PM
Hey gang,

I have come to notice that there are certain online casino's that host "multiplayer" roulette tables (RNG ofcourse).  I'm wondering though, wouldn't these be more legit than say a single player RNG?  For the simple fact that you can see others betting?

Not exactly sure how they work, but its a nice idea.

Comments?

Hey Matty,

I'm not sure about this, but aren't each player supposed to make his own spins? I thought it was only the same as single player RNG's only with the addition of group chatting, am I wrong?

If I am, then how does it work in terms of spinning? Does it do a spin per minute or so for all the players to see?

Cheers,
Marven

M & M

Back in the day, I saw these same casinos.  I did try a couple and--if memory serves me right--there was a timer just like on the live casinos and you had to bet within the time length.  I remember thinking if you were on the clock, why not just play the real wheel?

Matt

I think it would legitimize the RNG casino as you could be on Skype and compare numbers if there is no marquis board.  I recall on the live wheels, we would say "Three?  Everyone see a three?"  for that reason.  They were always right.  You could do the same on RNGs, but then you have the timer to deal with.

Real for me!

Thanks for the input guys

Marven - I will get back to you and fill you in on what they actually see (same numbers or different with a chat feature).

Cheers,
Matt

Just an update - when more than one player is playing on the table, a timer is used.  And all players get the same number.

I have played the multiplayer with Jakkals, there is a timer, just to keep everything within a specified time frame, however, once i placed my bets, i can click spin. A message will appear says, "waiting for other players to place thier bets" as soon as they have done so and click spin, the wheel spins, the timer does not effect that.

It's the same for group play, Group play, up to 4 people can play on a single table, you would all need to have/know the same group name to play the table.

Is there an overall time limit or does it wait and wait and wait for Slow Sammy to place his bet?

Sam - on the one's I've used, it's 30 seconds after the first bet is placed... or maybe a minute.  But it doesn't wait and wait.
