I don't know if i am being paranoid, but can anyone tell me what the following are. EG; Function, purpose?
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\
After all the the last backslashes, it lists a casino name. Furthermore, i have about 10 of the same software casino's installed, and this is the only one that gets listed????
Explain what these are for and i will show you how i found them...........
CONCERNED!!!!
These are registry entries. (nolinks://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms692084(VS.85).aspx)
You can open Windows Registry Editor by START -> Run -> and typing regedit
Good luck.
Thanks Mistarlupo,
Reason i'm asking is i ran Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and it picked those listed above up with the casino name after the last backslash.
Any reason for concern????
MX, these are basic registry places for things like that to leave their registry mark.
If such casino software isn't a priority, you can use add-remove at your computer's control panel to unistall and then just to be sure, delete the software's registry entries manually (of course, the FULL ones: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\<casino software name>; you try to delete them as you paste them and you pretty much will screw your system!).
Regards.
Victor
No, I see no reason for concern at all.
Be careful with this kind of software though... some "anti-spyware" programs are spyware itself.

Thanks Vic/Mistarlupo,
I was just concerned because only this one was picked up out of all the other same casino software's.
Mist.. Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is used by our company's contracted IT company, so i hope that they have checked it.
Thanks for your input
Maybe i was just trying to find a reason why i have never been able to win at this casino.... ;D
