Title: Can we win with limited martyngale?
Post by: SpensX on February 17, 2009, 09:43:20 AM
What is your opinoin guys ?
Can we win with limited martingale ...let`s say 3 or 4 steps
1-2-4
or
1-2-4-8
In 1st case ,if we lose we lose 7 units,in 2nd case we lose 15 units, and this mean that if we lose we have to have the same amount of wins to recovery .
The only thing that we need is to have good enought prediction method.
I tryed several deferent methods and the last one gave me 151 units profit for 1507 spins
What you thing is it good enought 1 unit per 10 spins....aaah yes i used progresion 3-6-12-24,betting on 3 DS.
Of course isnt enought and need more tests.
And of course i know that going ahead is pure suiside, like 1-2-4-8-16-32 . ...etc.

hi spensx,

this is my view on the martingale.

how often should we see any even chance go on a run of 7 hits in a row.

1UNIT ON RED WIN 2
2 ON RED WIN 4
4 ON RED WIN 8
5 ON RED WIN 10 IF LOSE ANY POINT FROM NOW ON WE WIN 2
10 ON RED WIN 20
20 ON RED WIN 40
80 ON RED WIN 160
160 ON RED WIN 320

17   -1
34   -1
4   -1
2
9   -1
18
0
9   -1
35   -1
0   -1
4   -1
18   -1
9
33   -1
4
22
17
20
22
22
20   322

just an idea i would rather play this way than the martin gale way this way we have control of how much we lose and you are waiting for a win that will come for sure sometime/ instead of waiting for it to do this and lose all your bankroll.

if people could win with Martingale, casinos would have been out of business for a few centuries now

SpensX,

Excuse me if you've seen this before, but some of the newbies probably haven't.

1000 spins (no zero's) breaks down to:

500 ea. singles   and 500 each runs of two or more  (remember we always have 50/50 chance for either red or black)

500 runs of two or more breaks down to:

250 runs of 2  and 250 runs of 3 or more

250 runs of 3 or more breaks down to:

125 runs of 3 and 125 runs of 4 or more, etc...

The zero's make it a little worse

What this means to me is that you should expect to lose no matter what the limited martingale is unless you can change the above numbers to your favor through bet selection.  And the only way I think that is possible is through trend recognition and exploitation.

Read Spike's and Gizmotron's insights re: captializing on trends and if you come up with something that works long-term, let us all in on the strategy.
