Forum's core is just that, the "core functionality" i.e. the very basic read, reply, permissions, boards...

There are so many extra features to add! I guess the missed ones are the ones that matter the most to implement.

Hi mate,

There are changes being made to the forum in order to make it part of a multiforum and we may need to change chat engine (Or I'll have to code another one from scratch) as license terms for current chat code do not allow this type of activity.

I can put AJAX chat without problems.

When using pieces of code from 3rd parties there are restrictions imposed.

From the developmental point of view it is frustrating. Licenses here, restrictions there, you can't modify this, do not implement that, etc.

On the other hand it is these type of events what drives IT evolution, as one is forced to create code that will ultimately benefit users.

Well, we have standard AJAX chat box now (intregrated wit shoutbox)
