Title: Wager Calculator
Post by: MattyMattz on March 25, 2009, 11:28:46 PM
Hey gang,

I have just added a 'wager calculator' in the members only download section.  Basically it's a spreadsheet in which you can input the amount your down, where you plan on betting, and the odds you get and it'll tell you how much you need to bet to recoup your loss.

For example.

You are down 50 units (-50).  Your system tells you the next bet is to bet on 5 lines.  So on the spreadsheet you would enter the following:
DD,Units,Odds,Wager
-50,  5,  11,
The -50 represents your loss so far.
The 5 represents your 5 lines.
The 11 represents the odds on a line (11 to 1)

After you input this data, Under the wager column you'll get your answer.
DD,Units,Odds,Wager
-50,  5,  11,  7
So you would need to bet 7 units on each line to recoup the 50 unit loss.

Hope this is of some help to people.  Feel free to ask any questions.

Matt

This is one fine little program.  I just ran a few numbers through it.  This could work beautifully with the G.U.T.   And, if I wanted to recover in two spins instead of one, I just divide the bet and bet for a double hit.

Thanks!  This is quite a tool!

Glad I could help.

Someone asked me if I could program it and after I did I realized what a great little tool it could be.

Just a quick update.

Seems the spreadsheet wasn't liking some of the smaller numbers.  This has been fixed (hopefully).

I would suggest a few tests prior to actually using (lol).
