Title: Combining the Guetting Progression with.....
Post by: Mr J on May 23, 2009, 03:01:43 PM
Years ago I use to play the even bets and once in a while did make some money. I used NO progression, flat betting only ($25s). How I played was to ride the streak of "whatever". I only played the odd/even, red/black. I hate the 1-18/19-38, not sure why. Anyways, lets say I was playing the odd/evens. I would continue to bet on whichever the last was to hit. Streaks DO COME as you know.....7 odds, then 7 evens etc. If it got choppy (O,E,O,E,O,E etc) I would then switch to the red/black bets. My point/question, I'm thinking of using the Guetting on this style. The sooner it catches a winning streak, the better, obviously. @Vic >> I decided to add ONE more step to it (60 60). After a win on the second 60, I'm starting over, just my opinion.  Ken

Let me ask something I'm not sure has been asked yet? What are the bad points of using the Guetting Progression? The negatives?  Ken

If you bet on one even chance and run it through roulette extreme for a couple of thousand spins and then look at the bankroll balance trend, that will give you an idea of the good and bad points of the progression.   Hope this helps

It is a grind Kenneth, a big fat grind. You can bring a spatula to the casino to separate your butt-cheeks if the streak doesn't come at the beginning.

Personally I haven't completed the original guetting line and I'm talking about playing sessions of 8+ hours at an automated machine as I figured as there are more spins per hours ti would do better, no luck to me. And I haven't dared to grind the guetting on a live wheel as spins are way too slow.

Guetting is the grinding grind of the grinds :o It is good as a recovery system with the aim of recovering a couple units and letting it go, but aiming to "breaking the bank" with it, it can be too much effort and a guetting line can take forever to get to the final steps -if it gets there.

I had to move on because it is too much of a grind even for me. Mind you.

Hi Mr J

After some months of studying and testing systems i´ve come to the (sad) conclusion that the Guetting progression with the correct bet selection as you mention is the best way to play the game. . . . back to basics as they say :)

I like to play half of the wheel as a even chances bet, instead of red/black or odd/even or high/low.  That way is more fun as you can track the ball and see if it is going to fall in your half of the wheel. :)
