Yes, it is related to roulette. Lets say we have a baseball player whos batting average is 300 (100 at bats). He goes into a slump. He is now 0 for his last 23 at bats. Is he DUE for a hit? Ken

He is due but we not know when is maybe his over all average should be 100 so he has alot more misses in him

Does it not depend on who he has / will bat against ?
As in his average went down because he played against good pitchers ??
E.G. He's a lefty & has faced a lot of lefty pitching hence the avg has gone down ??
To the both of you, thats why I said over 100 games. I have to throw in a disclaimer everytime. lol Lefty, a righty, makes no difference. His OVERALL average (before the slump I guess) is/was 300. Ken
I was already corrected, I'll change it a little >>> "more likely to get a hit SOON". Ken

Then I would say that there are too many variables to work it out.
Sorry Ken guess I'm not much help..... :blush2:
If there were too many variables, no batters would have an average, the stat people would not even bother. 300 is 3 hits out of every 10 at bats. He is 0 for his last 23 at bats. Due? The non-due people are a bit confused on this one. Be consistent now. Ken
I wouldn't say he is 'due' as such. He could be in a slump, and his confidence low because he can't get a hit.

Ok, too many variables for ME to work out.... :good:
