Title: Possible liability For Posting to Forum??
Post by: Bear on March 22, 2015, 04:52:51 PM
This question is for Steve or possibly one of the moderators:  I  have roughly a 2-drawer file cabinet full of notepages, scraps of paper, even matchbook covers & napkins  that I have accumulated over my years of play; they are systems or methods that I either witnessed being played or methods that I was told about, etc. and were interesting enough to me at the time that I wrote them out or made notes on; and have not saw them here on the Forum.
Now that I am retired from the game I would be amiable to posting some here on the Forum with a thought toward" breathing a bit of life" into it Some, I'm sure would spark spirited interest, others I'm sure would turn out stinkers, and one might be the "Holy Grail", who knows?  :yahoo: Naturally, I would not make any claims or pretenses that they were mine or that I had any part in their development.
However, if I did so, might I be in a position to get slammed for copyright infringement (if they could produce proof of such), or theft of intellectual property if someone could sucessfully prove they authored the system or method? I have never really saw tbis issue addressed on any of the Forums & sites.

Best Wishes,

Bear

If you publish copyrighted material, the owner then complains to me and can file to have websites suspended. So please be careful of what you publish. I always comply with requests to remove copyright material, whether its a scam or not.
