Title: The T.C.U.P.T. (TwoCat Universal Profit Theory)
Post by: TwoCatSam on November 03, 2008, 02:24:30 AM
Friends and hecklers.........

This idea is designed to work with any system where you are treading water as I am with the G.U.T.  I have successfully used this on blackjack in live casinos years ago.  If I could graph my G.U.T. sessions they would look like: Up $30; Down $30 and on and on and on over and over again.  I always make it back to where I started!  It's just a matter of gutting it out.

Since I always make it back where I started, it does not matter how much I'm betting.  Theoretically, I could bet $00.50 or $100.00 per number.  I would still get back to zero and have nothing.  I would just need a huge bankroll and a lot of guts!

Here's the idea:

You raise the bet in Martingale fashion but not a true Martingale.  Say I start with .50 and soon go to $1.00 and then $2.00.  Now I know I will always get back where I started from, so if my bet gets too large for me to want to raise it, I merely stay and continue to flat bet until I am back to zero and then start over.  Many times I will make a profit and always break even.

That's it!

As I said, it worked for me in blackjack where I was just swapping money with the dealer.  Why not the G.U.T.?

So basically Sam, this is a "up as you win" scheme?

"Stepladder flat bets" may we call this?... sweet!

Sam, let's remember in theory what gets back is the deviated hit ratio, so you can do as the Roundup system does...

(You aren't familiar with the Roundup, are you? I can translate as its foundations sure can improve your T.C.U.P.T...)

Basically, the roundup system embraces the inevitable losing and teaches how to cope with losses with erotion and unit splitting, keeping large units, giving back splitted ones to fullfill hit ratio's math. You can't escape from hit ratio evening out, but how much is on the felt when this balancing takes place? It makes a difference.

Manrique style!

It could be "rung up" instead of "round up".  ;D

Never head of round up.  Please elaborate!  I'd love to win with dollars and give back half-dollars!

[smiley=lolk.gif] Hoper, but well, I'd like to at least elaborate for our dear Sam.

Actually the system isn't the brightest one on earth, but the money management (what interests this section) is 100% Manrique style which is good.

True, as with every other system nobody can beat a huge dispersion of hits against... but this "inevitable loss" scenario is embraced and dealt with as gracefully as the system can!

Like ATILA said: Good luck; needless to say, you can never have enough of it.

I am translating how to detect physically biased wheels like Ivan & Gonzalo García Pelayo did (the spaniard advantage players who hit the news, having the court rule in favor of them to keep their winnings) but... Our dear Sam deserves this posted first! Hey! It will help T.C.U.P.T. and we all want to profit universally, don't we?

Anyway... Who cares about detecting physically biased wheels and getting the positive edge at the game?  ;)  :) (Kidding, Just Kidding, I'll post it too  :); I just want to serve Sam first this time  8)).

Regards,
Victor

As steps on a ladder are also called "rungs" I'd love to be a rung up or a leg up, but I don't want to throw up!  I've heard people actually do that when they loose the rent and grocery money!

So I will be very careful with my idea and work it out on paper thoroughly.  Then I will wait for Victor to add to it--and anyone else!

OK, this is the idea.  I have not put this to practical test; bear that in mind. This is a theory and possibly this thread should be under "brainstorming".

Comments anyone?

Here are the scenarios in better form.

You go down 50u.  Say it took 50 bets to get there.  Now you double (gasp!) and continue betting.  I must emphasize you are playing a yo-yo system where you are always getting back to your dollar figure before you lost a single chip.  You start with $500 and you always get back to $500.

OK, you're down fifty spins/units and you double (gasp!).  Now, in 25 positive spins you are at $500 and at 50 positive spins you have won 50u/$50.

Say you go down $50 and double.  Go down another 50 spins or $100 and you double.  You are now betting $4 per spin.  In 25 positive spins you will recover the lost $100 and be back to a lost $50.  Then you reduce your bet to $2 and carry on.  If you stay for 25 positive spins, you will end up with $50 profit.  Around half that, you break even.  Thirteen I guess.  Huh?

People, I am math challenged as well as otherwise.

I accept criticism/correction from any source.

QuoteI just want to serve Sam first this time

Dear sam,

I have not forgotten this, it happens this particular moment in time I'll serve the forum first mate. I'm implemeting the [CHART] tag as it is a must for this month. It can't be posponed anymore.

Remember on top on the forum's ability to generate charts comes the actuals bot, then the automated system tester using the actuals, also the Challenge bot, etc.

This must be implemented "yes or yes" this month, so 2009 comes reloaded, with the tag as a foundation for all the data we have to display.

Hope you comprehend :-[

Your friend;
Victor, working for a better forum.

I have tested exactly the same system very long ago at roulette.  In theory it must be the holy grail , but somehow, don't know how, it fails. . .  Note, that I was playing at Betfair Zero lounge with no zero on the wheel, so there wasn't house edge.  It's true, that RNGs are bandits, but betfair is a correct corporation and I don't think they manipulate their software.  It's just the system, it fails. . . .    :aggressive:

Guys,

This is an extremely interesting approach, which I have studied extensively.
Let me tell you it's weak spot.
The problem is that there are many ways one can go down 50 units flat betting.
For example betting Red, you can be down 50 units

A. after 100 spins (75 Blacks, 25 Reds)  the dispression is very strong in this case
B. after 250 spins (150 Blacks, 100 Reds) the dispression is softer in this case

The approach you described can be very profitable when you lost that 50 units after a strong dispression in relatively few spins, but it can be a trap if you lost the 50 units after many spins and a soft dispression. Because in the later does not guaranttties a correction will happen soon.

Still, with a few tweaks, this is one of the best negative progression approaches there are, along with 6-point divisior and a couple others.

By the way Kav, how did this work out for you over the years? I'm just curious if you were able to find huge success using this. (https://www.vlsroulette.com/proxy.php?request=nolinkss%3A%2F%2Fimagicon.info%2Fcat%2F10-3%2Fsmile2.png&hash=471c4bfde9a8eaaecc106f26429c893406565ad6)
