I think you have done a fine job.

My only suggeston would be to make the black bars that divide the sections on the main page much more narrow and perhaps navy blue so that they aren't distracting.  I find my eyes are drawn towards these black bars and stripes.  This makes posts more difficult to read in my opinion.

I think it still looks nice.

I agree with Herb, the section dividers are distracting. Otherwise, good job!

There was absolutely nothing wrong with the old look. We knew where everything was and it was very practical and presentable.
 
I will continue to refer to this so called new look as a NIGHTMARE

Guys, from the administrative point of view the best thing is to stay the same for as long as possible, no need to put your coder hat on, always the same look, the easy way out for the administrator... yeeha! 

But... This arises the question: Do we really want to be stuck in time forever? Once customization is finished, I bet you guys are to get used to this look in a snap!

I'm looking forward to seeing the section icons back instead of these green arrows.

Did you get a number of PM's or emails asking you to change the forum's LOOKS. I am going to guess the answer
is NO. What does "stuck in time forever" mean?
 
So if something works perfectly well, lets change it for the sake of what......?
 
Every post I make will start with the above as a reminder of what we used to have and are now faced with this hideous
impractical NEW LOOK

Hey Mr.Chips,

Rpro's NEW forum had the same template as the old VLS. I assume Victor doesn't wish to be associated with that forum.

Hence the changes.....  Simple as that.....
