Midas touch is very good system.

BUT

Drawdown amt is very high, but it will recover though...

Most bad part of this approach is that, sometimes you need to bet more than Table MAX limit.

Thats the reason why noone recommend this method.

"the system will always work in the end"-- that's what I want to hear!  except that labbys were the first systems I tried many years ago many times and they always end up in disaster.  this one looks a LITTLE different-- perhaps with a good stop loss plan...?...

You will get what is known as the "adverse run" where whatever you're betting takes a vacation and the opposite will beat you to death.

It would always work if there were no table limits and you had Bill Gates money.  So would the Martingale.

oh phooey, why must you wreck my Midas dreams?

I have spent a lot of time trying to make this method work, and have found that it will work most of the time. You will succeed in completing many sequences, but sooner or later you will get a run of losses as Sam says and you will struggle to cancel out the sequence without either hitting the table limit or using all your bankroll.

I enjoyed reading the book though, the winners edge, where Bruce Irwin claims he travelled round the world paying his way with this method and it never failed him. I fgound his claims to be tall though. He says the method was so powerful he never used to use any stategy in blackjack, just wait for the dealer to bust.

He claims roulette was so easy to win using this method that he got bored of playing it. His bet selection from what I can understand was as follows: Follow an even chance such as red, and when it hits, keep backing it and eventually you will get a long streak which will cancel your sequence. Also, if red comes up say, he would bet columns 1 & 3, and if black came up he would bet columns 1 & 2. Also he would flat bet Black and Odd together, or Red and Even together.

Try testing with these selections and I found his claims to be rather tall. in other words, I don't think it will hold up. I hope one day I do find a bet selection good enough to make it work though.

I used the Midas Method in 1997 to provide totally for my support for a 3 month period making over $10,000. 00 starting with a $7,000. 00 bankroll playing in various casinos in Illinois, Iowa, and Nevada.  What is not being said about Midas is you can split a progression down to keep the bets low and manageable at any time you wish.  I sometimes started my play using 10 to 12 multiple progressions at once.  You can even group several bets at once with one bet if you want.  You need a bet selection that you follow what happened last or bet the same as second to last bet.

You can also increase bets as you win to have a cutoff of what the largest bet you will using the progression doing the opposite instead of crossing off numbers when you win you cross of bets when you loose and add the winning bets to the end of the progression increasing bets.  This is what Bruce Irwin did to kill the casinos with huge wins.  Have a very large bankroll and you will see! Have patience, concentration, and no fear are the ingredience for success! Practice, practice, practice.

I would first figure out my daily cost of living for the day and make that amount first then go for a daily profit of $100. 00 minimum to enlarge my bankroll.  Then the Las Vegass Union Plaza had a $0. 25 minimum crap table and was very easy to make whatever I could with very little risk playing sometimes for up to 16 hours a day rarely having to make a bet for more than $50 with a maximum table limit of $1,000.

Do not drink, do not accept anything free from the casino, and stay well rested.  Alway keep your complete bankroll with you.  If something is bothering you at a table immediately quit and go to another table or casino.   Keep good records!

Do not play double zero roulette.  Single zero roulette, craps, and baccarat are the games to play.  Do not let the casino see your papers to see exactly what you are doing and always mix it up to through them off, so any tactics they might try to counter you will be of little effect.  Some casinos will try to cheat you!!!

If you have the mental fortitude you can keep track of your bets using only chipls as Bruce Irwin showed in his video.

Thank you for providing this information in the forum about the midas system with its first post Mr SS.

Wow, so you did live in a professional manner by this method. Congratulations.

If I can ask. What is your method of action today at the casino? You keep playing Midas as the maker of money for you when you play?

Thank you for your time.

I have not been in a casino for 8 years now, as have moved on to the larger financial markets.   Nothing wrong with The Midas Method once you learn to deal with the situations when bets escalate by dividing the progression down to smaller units when necessary from practicing to learn when, and some of the other comments I made for things to do.

Grinding profits out of a casino can be done.  Remember to win money your total profitable bets must total more than all your losses for any progression run.

If you constantly do the same progression then you will run into trouble more often.

I would recommend Stetson G.  Bailey's methods also.

Do not play online casinos!

this is a very good topic, guys. I tried this method some time ago, it worked first, then it sank. And i decided that this a scam and b/s, though i did buy Bruce Irwin's book.
a few days ago i just started reading it before sleeping, and i understood something i could not understand before.
for such a system u need a very strict money management. Bruce is saying this in his book, but he never emphasized it, just telling between other things. And he never gave special instructions about it, just mentioned it in his book.

try playing this method with hit -run and set a win goal of 10% of your bankroll. And of course a stop loss. maybe 50% of your bankroll, maybe even less. in case of trouble don't try to recover the losses,  just leave the game....You will recover them later. Behave yourself like on a minefiled which may not be completely cleared yet, any case of doubt, just get the hell out of there, come back later. Be happy with one successful session on the same table, don't try to push your luck.

Bruce himself said  that from his experience 92% of the people reading this book will fail. Very few will succeed.
So if you r not so sure about yourself dont even try it. You will likely be one of those who casino is waiting for.

I would play for my expenses first for the day going for a few small sessions of $5 or $10 and less if the casino minimum allowed it.  Then I would play for an amount of about 1% of my large bankroll to increase it each day.  Play conservative always playing multiple progressions, and sometimes reverse progression adding winning bet amount to the end instead of crossing it off risking a very small starting amount instead.  This is how Irwin sometimes made very large wins when the table was running heavily in ones favor, as this method can escalate bets rapidly to the casinos disadvantage when over 50% of the bets are won over a 10 to 15 bet winning streak.  He only mentions one very large nightly win in his book using the reverse method risking only $25 to $125 on each multi-progression Irwin was running depending on maximum table bet allowed.  When you are running multiple progressions you can become just as lucky as the casino, as you have several straws so to speak drawing water from the glass.  I won a little over $3,000 on two occasions using the reverse Midas Method!

iggiv

did he mention  "reverse" method in his book? I haven't seen it.
could u pls give an example of reverse progression?

when u say "for 5 or 10" u mean it as a smallest bet? or as a winning goal?
thanx

hey all, i have been playing around with this method just winning $50 at a time, so playing the 20, 10, 10, 10 then going for a little walk around and i also always follow the previous colour to bet on and seems to work well for me.  over the course of the last 3 days i have been at the casino a total of 3hrs and 50mins.  with an average of 232spins to win $1200 (i go in with a bank roll of $2000) the longest game that i had took an 1hr and 10mins to complete. . . i was begging to think it would never end but it did :) but most games have taken between 5 mins to 20mins (i play the touch bet roulette)
