Hi, i am beggining in this te roulette world, i tested some systems  in the casino, some worked. . some not.  :P

So. . I read too much, i learn new systems. .

But, i dont know how to manage my bankroll.

How "chips" is correct to start?. . . I suposs that i CANT lose that, how much "chips" i need to have the "Risk Ruin" to zero?.

Thanks, My enlglish is very poor because is not my original idiom. .

Regards, PonyGambler.

Hello PonyGambler, welcome to the family.

Please do provide us with more information such as the amount of numbers covered for your target system, if you are okay with having to hit several times to recoup losses or you are only happy with 1-hit-recoups-all progressions.

Provide the data and we will be able to help you. As you know, the money management must suit the bet selection/system AND the person using it.

Regards.

My target System is use the Bias of roulette.

For example, the system "Hot numbers"

I wait 30 balls. . . so i play the numbers that repeat in two or more balls. .

But also coordinate that with other systems. .

The Roulette Dont have a "universal bankroll"?

I doest use one system. . i use many.

Lets say. . 1000 chips, is enough for all systems?.

Bo0Merang

hi pony...i was start feel aftersome time..the same like you becouse..some time even 1000.. chips is not enough whe u play with 25 chip value it is not happened all time but ya sometimes happened and waiting foranother round can be long, for 10 chips value play is enough to make some profit with 1000.Someone some times use progression it can be helpfull i personaly dont like it but i was use it sometime as well.Depenc how much is it your target win.Maybe you have diferent aproach which work well....but i think that experienced palyer no need more...then 300.And offcourse there is the same point, depec how much you  want win....

PonyGambler

My target win is about 100 chips per night/day(about 8hs or more, the time is not problem).

Bo0Merang

therefore from my own experience even play with progression is realy enough 150 e for target 100  with play walue 2 e chips.

PonyGambler

I dont understand.  .  .

are you  saying that 150 chips buy in  is enought for a 100 chips target win?.

Bo0Merang

Yes this is exactly what i say..you dont need more for this target if you know  what you  do..

Hi PonyGambler,

The Risk of Ruin is, as you probably know already, the probability of losing your entire capital as you play, spin after spin, session after session.

It is calculated like this:

Risk of ruin = ((1 - Edge) / (1 + Edge)) ^ Capital units

"Capital" is your bankroll in units, so for example if your bankroll is $200, and your base bet (the amount you wager with each bet) is $10, then: Capital = 200 / 10 = 20 units.

"Edge" is the value that represents you odds of winning, so you need a positive edge. Roulette is a negative expectation game due to the embedded house edge that gives us a negative edge (-2.7%). To obtain a positive edge you need to use advanced and tested techniques that conquer the nature of the game and gives the player a positive edge, for example: +10%. Unfortunately, no gambling system can do that.

Suppose you have a 10% edge in your favor, and a capital of 30 units. In the case:

Risk of ruin = ((1 - 10) / (1 + 10)) ^ 30 = 0.0024

This means that there is a 0.24% probability of losing your capital.

In this example, using a 50 units capital instead of 30, however, gives us a 0.00% risk of ruin.

I hope that helps. :)

Great maaathematica , this is true.  thanks

Kudos to Marven for the maths breakdown.  According to John Solitude (and this is my target as well), a "reasonable" upper limit is 25% of your bankroll and VLS Victor advises a stop loss of 50% of Bankroll.  Hope this helps.
