What does R.N.G stand for you?

I have one:
Ripping-off Naive Gamblers

(Pssst: notice, I'm not accusing X or Y casino of being a cheat. If they are TRULY random, then anything can happen. We shouldn't fall into gambler's fallacy nor reversed gambler's fallacy. Perhaps roulette is a chaotic system; not a true random one. This is why people report the obvious difference. Then as the RNG's used by casinos are a true random beast, this may explain why the "tides" of it can get so different, like a Tsunami in some cases when compared).

So... what does R.N.G stand for you?

I was dead-set sold against them until someone I respect says we should take another look.  I think I will take another look.

The problem, as I see it, is we have no yardstick.  People talk about the "wierd" things a RNG does and I'm thinking, "Hey, I saw that last week at Riverbelle and I was not betting so they weren't trying to cheat me!"  We have no way to truly know if we're seeing "normal" or an anomaly, or something that is rigged.  I know what they could do, but are they doing it?  That is the question.

Yappers mate, but take it easy, this thread is just for the "fun of it"! To collect those acronyms :D

Just found some more!

"Rigged Net Gaming"

Quote from: Steve HourmouzisOf course RNG is rigged. It may as well stand for "Rigged Net Gaming". The outcomes are not based on physics, the winning numbers are not predictable, and the payouts are short (house edge). You cannot beat RNG.

No probs Sam.

Remember there may lie the gist of the matter, shall roulette be accepted as a chaotic system and not a random one.

How can we "expect" from something truly random? R.D. Ellison and is statistical propensity concept ade emphasis on it. Also, there is this quote:

Quote from: Dr. MathThey are called random because their distributions are statistically similar to true random numbers.

In a land-based casino the major concern about "randomness" is for the numbers to be TRULY UNCERTAIN/RANDOM for the person laying the bets down...

Hey! here's another RNG quote:
RIPPING NOGOOD GAMBLERS

Quote from: DiarmaidWell I dont care whether or not it is rigged or not. I wouldn't trust any computer program with my money and thats why I dont play online Poker much anymore, I win about 10 times more in my local cardroom than online poker and that has to mean something????  RNG-----RIPPING NOGOOD GAMBLERS

Ok Victor, im take it easy also, however, i just wanted to applaud my friend TwoCat. Im not as experience as many of you guys, but im kinda of smart and i dont claim to be a fan of RNGs, however, we need a definite yardstick as stated. We must speak from the actual knowledge of how a specific application is programmed. That knowledge is powerful. We've done it for the roulette inside and out. i would like to see us do the same for the RNGs. Also, one program on one website we probably be configured differently than another so, we can divise a blueprint for each major RNG, play those suckers and clean you. I aint sayin u r gonna beat the RNG cuz u aint gonna beat da house either. but u beat em at their game. We just have to expand our thinking from a little higher altitude.

I've been messing with the casino RNG machines for about 6 months and I've finally given up on them. Their biggest problem is they're too chaotic. A real wheel has peaks and valleys in and out of chaos. RNG's are chaotic more often and for longer periods of time, they are mostly unplayable for me. They have speed, which is what I like. But its just not worth it.
