Is Playing Virtually The Same as Playing for Real?

Spike!

I keep reading these systems where they have you tracking and waiting and waiting and then betting a couple times and getting out. You then wait and wait and do it all over again. They think because they only bet a few times that this is somehow an advantage. Its not. From the minute you start tracking, you're playing, betting has nothing to do with it. If you track for an hour and make 3 bets and go back to tracking, you've been playing for an hour. Betting this way gives you no advantage over the house, it just makes your BR last longer and it feels like you're getting away with something. Because you're using a mechanical system, the house edge will still eat away at you're BR, it will just take a lot longer. Its an illusion to think otherwise. Why waste your time.

Why waste your time.

It's not a waste of time. It's just one of the lessons that players need as experience. They need to exhaust themselves until they learn the futility of it. There's a thread involving betting on a single dozen with progressions. Perhaps the lesson should be about what a dozen numbers can really do. I've seen a single dozen sleep for 20 to 30 spins. In fact, that's not that uncommon. That's just part of the nature of randomness. Knowing what can happen is important. When one dozen is being run up the ever increasing progression, for losing, the other two dozens are hitting perfectly for a very long stretch.

Think about this: If you play for a very short period, then how long must you wait before you can bet again?

What is happening during this waiting period?

Spike!

A short game is VASTLY superior and profit assuring>>>>

Not its not. All you're doing is exposing less of your BR to the house edge, so it will last longer. In the end the results will be exactly the same if you yourself don't have the edge over the casino.

over the 11 years I have been running THE ZONE.>>>

I've read a lot of your posts in that thread and you sound like somebody who discovered this a month ago, not 11 years ago. You constantly change things and if you had really been playing it full time for 11 years, it would need no changes, it would be set in stone.

Fender,

It's pretty obvious that you've just discovered roulette.  Don't try and convince anyone that you've been playing for very long.

Herb6

Fender,

Each spin of the roulette wheel is an independent trial.  Consequently, the chance of you hitting at each spin remains the same.

Ask yourself this:  After each spin, does the dealer block the previous number from hitting again?  Do the number of pockets on the wheel remain the same?

If you believe differently, then feel free to show us the math.

I will still be turning a profit with the zone for many years>>>

You hope. It doesn't matter to me, the casino seperates the men from the boys in a huge hurry. You don't have to convince me you can win consistantly without having the edge, you have to convince them. Saying you've been doing it for 11 years and then having half of it be a mystery to you, as is obvious by reading your thread, only convinces me you've been playing roulette a very short time.

Why do you think some of the streets hit more than the other streets? Whats up with that. Thats physically impossible, you know.

Spike!

Its obvious you know nothing about roulette. >>>

Herb actually wrote a book about roulette, but I don't suppose that means he knows anything about it. But I suspect he knows a little.

So.....is virtual betting the same as 'waiting' for something to happen or not happen? (IYO) Ken

Spike!

spike how would you suggest to play>>>

Find a way to play that has you betting as much as possible, hit your goal, and get the hll out. You're there to make money, not entertain yourself. If you are there to entertain yourself, do whatever makes you feel good, it doesn't matter.

Mr J

"If you are there to entertain yourself, do whatever makes you feel good" >>> and do it at home, where its free.  Ken

By the way,  Is it just me or do Stackbundles and Fender appear to be the same person?
