I am very surprised that Russia did not win Gold.

You don't win gold medals with offense alone. I'm not suprised..but I did expect them to do better. I was hoping that they would play Canada and win if the US could not do it.

I don't know much about sports betting. But NHL wise the Flyers seem to be a safe bet to win the game on monday. I'm a Philly fan. so far they have 3 shut outs in 4 games. All it takes is a few goals and Montreal plays like crap. Montreal, the 8th place team beat the 1st and 2nd place teams to get to where they are, but they only had to shut down a couple of players. The flyers best player is on Defense, a whole different story.

If the flyers go to the cup it should be interesting to see how the flyers (7th) do against the blackhawks (1st or 2nd). The I would not write the Flyers off to lose the cup. Their D is sick, as long as Parent doesn't do anything too stupid. I guess the flyers would be considered the underdogs since they are 7th seed in the East and the Blackhawks are 1st or 2nd seed in the West. Is there a lot of money to be made here if the flyers win?

If (and I think when) Philly makes it to the final, they will be underdogs.  It might be wise to place a wager on them to win the series (and obviously the Stanley Cup).   If Chicago can be beaten, Philly is the team that could do it this year.

I agree 100%. Especially after that run they had aganist Boston and with Cater back in the line-up they are looking better up front. chicago looks great, but I don't think they are going to pull it off.
