I do believe you.  I just don't see how the large sample has no effect on the small one.  There must be some connection.  Where is the cutoff?  How many reds in a row do we need before it leans toward 49/51?

The reason there are so many crazy gambling systems for sale is to fill a need - the gut feeling that there is some way to beat statistics.

A coin/pair of dice/Roulette wheel  are just things with no memory - just rocks.

If you find a flat rock and mark H on one side and T on the other don't tell me it must instantly start to act magically as I flip it - it must be 50/50.

It's a rock and the next flip will be a 50% chance of H and 50% chance T; even if the last 20 flips were all H; even if the last 100 flips were all H.

At some point you'd ask for a different coin/dice/Roulette table to gamble at - thinks don't seem logical.

I have found a number of Roulette systems for sale that win money like crazy.  However when you investigate the videos you realize that someone messed with the odds table in the demo program they used - I wonder who......

If you find a system that looks for real and you can't find a way that they cheated just think of Lance Burton - he does the same stuff - slight of hand, you are being fooled.  Money management is a different thing - it's for real and that's where you need to focus your time.  There are zillions of MM techniques from a Google search - review and understand 50 of them and pick one you like.  But even with MM its easy to want more out of it than it can offer.

Don't forget that the number of win/losses mean nothing at the end of the night - how much money you have in your pocket is all that matters.  If you put $10 on #13 and that number wins you know you should call it a night but most of us won't and will gamble all that winnings away.

Gambling is simply entertainment and if it's not then don't do it............

tell me how you can play roulette with no past spins.

Yeah, that is always stick in my mind. All method or strategy always looked back to the previous result. Anybody just randomly stake,or throw the chip on the table? :agree:

EXERPT from free gambling advice from a professional  gambler:

QUOTE:
But there is this crap about everything in gambling eventually evening out...........and that is out and out a complete (fallacy) farce...........

These people, with numbers swirling thru their blinders ..........do not have the answer to my next question, so they should not have the right to spit out thir "eventually everything will even out over the span of a few hundred million hands of cards or rolls of the dice and spins of the roulette wheel."

My question to them is :

"When did this numerical math equation start??????"

Did it begin the day the casino opened ???

Did it begin the day the wheel was built????

Does it include all of the practice rolls while the wheel was being evened out (of course we have the REALLY REALLY BEEG math theorists who claimed that a person can spot a biased  (tilted)  wheel..........

(STIFLED roaring laughter)................

Does it start every Sunday or Monday???

Does it start every time a new dealer is on duty?????

Does it include the times a dealer, with an empty table, spins the ball around the wheel to catch the attention of passing customers????

Inquiring minds want to know!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They claim that you need a computer run to find things out ...........

Now, does this simulated run include just this simulated comptuter run, or does it take into consideration all of the spins UP to that simulation?????

Does it effect each person individually who goes to that table on the day that person is on his visit to the casino.............?????

Or does that person, who buys in at this table, have to get a print out for the past 22 years, 4 months, 3 days,  2 hours and 39 seconds that the wheel has been in action..........

I asked this question to one of the math people I came across at a seminar several years ago (I think it was 1992)........and every couple of years I check back with him............

Last time I checked, (2003),  this mathematical whiz bang said he was still working on the answer ..........

So............now that the math people have gone on to figure out the answers to the questions above ............let me tell you what a hand of cards of spin of a roulette wheel or toss of the dice really are .........

They are VEHICLES........................
