Play the game with the lowest H.A. but.......

I suck at message subject titles, cut me a break. My question is this......under what H.A. percent should we stick to playing? I read somewhere, any game UNDER 5% (which leaves out 00 roulette).

Dont tell me, play the game with the lowest H.A., thats not my question.

I'm asking, if you had to make a cut-off point, would you say any game under 5% or maybe any game under 4%?

The same could be said of borrowing money for a house - at what rate do you tell the bank to forget it?

I view the house advantage as a fee for playing in a billion dollar casino (or a 100 million dollar) - it's not free and I have to pay for the nice building, hotel, bars, restaurants, security, parking lots, bathrooms, etc.

I play on American wheels and my fee is 5.26% that I must pay for the privilege of trying to take home more money than what I bought.

In Missouri I get free sodas and coffees and in Vegas I drink myself silly with good, free drinks.  In Vegas I easily drink more alcohol than 5.26% - easy - probably drink 2 good drinks per hour of gambling which would cost me $5 each (easy in Vegas).  That means I just need to play $190/hour ($10/.0526) and at a spin every 3 minutes that's $10 per spin and I average about that.

In Vegas I think the 5.26% is a real bargain.

In Missouri I drink 1 coffee per hour which sells for $3.50 so there I need to play $66/hr which for a spin every 3 minutes is just $3.50/spin and I average way more than that.

In Missouri I feel I get my money's worth too.

Then throw in the free rooms I always stay at and free buffets and I feel that the casino is paying me to take their money.

I wish my bank treated my mortgages (4 of them) the same way.....
