Hay all

For those who don't know already:

I was at The Star (Star City) in Sydney yesterday for the first time in years. I wanted to check out the new look.
I had heard from a number of people that there was no Rapid Roulette anymore, and that there were just auto wheels and the crappy (cos I hate them) vegas star video roulette.

Anyhoo.......Rapid Roulette is back. $10 min on outside bets (max $10K) and $1 min on straight up numbers. So the same as before.
They have heaps of auto wheels and the vegas star video wheels as well.
Not sure about the video wheels, but all of the auto wheels are also a $10 min on the outside bets and $1 on numbers straight up, so same as the rapid roulette that has an actual real person spinning. Why you would play the auto wheels when you can have a real dealer is beyond me.............unless you trust an auto wheel more than a dealer I guess.
Lowest bet on regular tables is $5 straight up numbers and $25 outside bets.

Honestly, I totally was blown away by number of different video and auto machines. They even have like an auto sic bo (or is it pai gow??) the one with the 3 dice. its like in a big bubble and they (the dice) jump up and stuff. That one made me laugh.
Will the dealers on the higher limit tables even be robots one day? I know some act like they are already, but I mean actual real robots one day?
Look, I think maybe RSL's and Leagues clubs should have these auto things and the casinos have the good ole fashioned dealer and wheels and tables. I tell you, Steve Wynn would roll over in his grave..........wait a minute, he's not dead.....make a note........Steve Wynn!! (just kidding, Steve's great). His casinos are probably the same too now, I dunno.

I was asking a dude at The Star who worked there and he said that the Rapid had only been back a few months.
The seating is totally different than before, instead of the wheel in the centre and all the seats and terminals around the outside, and what was there before, like 30 seats or something?. I forget.
Now the dealer with the wheel is up the front and there is row after row of seats and terminals where you do the betting. Like hundreds of these terminals. (almost like a bingo room set up)
The dude I spoke to said the casino had spent millions on just this new rapid roulette setup alone.
But he said it hasn't been that busy at the rapid yet as its still pretty new. Yesterday when I was there, there would have been only probably six people playing it, while on some of the auto wheels you couldn't get a seat. Weird!!!
He even said that down the track there could even be a similar set up for baccarat even.
That would be really awesome. I guess they could even do the same for blackjack like similar to the way Smartlive casino or Dublinbet do it.

Keep smiling and by for now!!

Rich

MiniBaccarat

G'day,

A Rapid Baccarat set up with a high minimun amount would be great!

Wouldn't a low minimum and a super high maximum be better?

Only if your using a progression.....

high max is great for a flat betting method  ;)

Baccarat would be the way to go...never can get a seat at the casino to play.  I think it would be even more popular than roulette.
