Hi,
I'm new here so I apologize up-front if this is a stupid question.  Anyway...

If you could place 10 bets on one spin how would you place those bets to get the highest odds?

Thanks,

GVGambler

Any number in mid column/except 2,35/ + 4 splits + 4 quads + street----10 placed bets with
most profit.

bombus

1.   play 5 numbers once 1 unit  -5
2.   play 6 numbers once 1 uint  -11
3.   play 4 numbers once 1 unit  -15
4.   play 7 numbers once 1 unit  - 22
5.   play 3 numbers once 1 unit  -25
6.   play 8 numbers once 1 unit  -33
7.   play 2 numbers once 1 unit  -35
8.   play 9 numbers once 2 units -44
9.   play 1 number   once 2 units -46
10. play10 numbers once 2 units -66

How you pick the numbers is up to you. Repeaters are good :)

Your answer at least is hillarious.

No more bets.... number 2, black, even, low.
Oh sxxt. Bad luck guy.

The best 10 placed bets wont change the odds.
But to get the most profit they should be placed on the next number to come.

Wow!  Thank you for such a prompt response.  Now... I am an absolute newbie at roulette.  I need help understanding your reply...

"Any number in mid column /except 2,35/" .. I understand.

" + 4 splits"  I think this means placing four separate bets, each bet covering two numbers... correct?

" + 4 quads"  I think this means placing four separate bets, each bet covering four numbers... correct?

+ street----"... .. I understand.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the quick reply.

As I mentioned... I'm new to roulette.  Can you explain a few things please...

1.   play 5 numbers once 1 unit  -5... I understand except for the "-5"  what does "-5" mean?
10. play10 numbers once 2 units -66 ... my question is "2 units"?  and -66

Thanks.

bombus

Those minus numbers are how much your accumulated bets have lost after each bet loses.

After the seventh bet you need to place 2 units on each bet or you won't get back what you've spent.

It's called an up as you lose progression and is frowned upon by most of the self proclamed experts on the roulette forums.

Ok, sorry, I messed that up... red wine you know.

If you're referring to me well... I'm not teasing.  I really don't get some of this and am truly looking for help.

GV - I suggest you go online and type in roulette then click on that subject on Wikipedia. They have a complete rundown of the whole game. This includes history, odds, the layout and so on.

You should have the basics of roulette in your mind before you delve into play ideas.

Your Ideas can be enhanced by browsing the thousands of posts on this forum, CC forum & forum.net for starters. Those 3 are all in the same family so to speak. There's many others on line in the forums index also. Look for things like money management. Progressions & the pros & cons of doubling up (Martingale) vs more gradual less "greedy" betting plans. Roulette betting systems & ideas.

Once you get a plan you think is ok then test it in theory with real numbers either you source yourself or find them on the roulette forums.
Once you do all that then you are in a position to ask questions and get opinions on the viability of your plan. The vast majority of ideas have already been thought of, played & tested after 200 + years of gambling.

Now a few questions. What country/state are you in? What type of roulette wheel is common in your area? 37 number European wheel or 38 number USA wheel?  Where do you intend to play roulette? On line RNG (random number generator) computer wheel? On line slingshot or airball wheel? On line live dealer real wheel? Real casino live dealer chip tables or live dealer touch screen Rapid Roulette ? RNG in real casino games?

While you may be genuine you must understand that oh so many posters in the past have written in the same style as you have today. Most have turned out to be trolls. Accordingly many long term regulars here are wary of newcomers as they can waste a lot of time.
After all, the advice & info. on these forums is free and used the right way could make you a lot of money.

You need to understand & respect these aspects. If you think your going to become a world beater
in double quick time then RV your on the wrong train by coming here.

GVGambler

Now a few questions. What country/state are you in? Illinois, USA
What type of roulette wheel is common in your area? Well... there are casinos here but I only gamble in Vegas.  So...
Where do you intend to play roulette? The Cosmopolitan, Vegas... probably another casino or two.

On line RNG (random number generator) computer wheel? On line slingshot or airball wheel? On line live dealer real wheel? Real casino live dealer chip tables or live dealer touch screen Rapid Roulette ? RNG in real casino games?.... None of this.

Thanks,
GV

GV - I've covered every type of roulette game known there. So if it's non of those then what kind roulette will you be playing?

Vegas you say! - me thinks you are a bit of a wise guy with all this GV ?

How do I know ? By the fact that you say your new to roulette but then you say that you only gamble in Vegas. So been there before? If not intending to play roulette then most likely cards, blackjack or baccarat. Could also be craps?

Also a genuine roulette newby person would thank me for the Wiki & forum suggestions and follow that path?

Non of that has been forthcoming from you, you exude arrogance & immaturity. I wish you rapid losses in Vegas, if you're really going there?  This will hasten a speedy return to your home state financially bruised.

I think Carpanta got it right with his TEASER statement.

Ouch - i don't care who it's aimed at, that's just mean.  Tell him to get lost if you don't like him, no need to wish him ill will.

mm - There is a need, look at all the time he wastes for us well meaning helpful members??

You don't have to care as it's not your time he's wasted.

It's all so easy to come along as a "Johnny Come Lately" and post a 1 line serve from the side lines and in the wrong direction?

Perhaps your time would be better utilized elsewhere on the forum?

Apart from that my post was addressd to the GV newby.  It will be interesting to see if he returns?
