hi was just wondering if this beats the odds of roulette ive tried working it out and it looks in my favour

on european roulette

bet the top 1st 12 and then red 1 unit each then double everytime u dont get a win on the top row and the results will be as follows

15/37 lose
10/37 even
4/37 3 unit win
8/37 4 unit win

after 37 spins
15 times you lose 15 units
10 times youre even
4 times you win total: 12
8 times you win total: 32

so thats 15 units lost to 44 units won

just wondering if that actually works or have i worked it out wrong somewhere cos they seem like too good of odds

Clarification please.

Are you saying:  Bet one unit on the first dozen (and outside bet) and one unit on each red number (an inside bet)?  That would be 19 units.

Yeah I think he is gonna have to answer that one for you Two Cat...without spending a lot of time on this the numbers don't make sense to me.  The inside bets would have thrown off bigger wins than the outcomes were showing...but sometimes people report "net" numbers so maybe his small gains were cumulative of some losses but without knowing his progressions my abacus just aint gonna calculate this one in 3 minutes or under....my ADD must be acting up... usually I'm pretty quick with money math.

How's the wife's shoulder?

I think what he means is that you play on the top column and on red, at the same time.  So you might play $1 on red and $1 on Column 1, for a $2 bet.  If a red from Column 2 or 3 come up, you break even for that bet and can continue on as if nothing happened.  If a black comes up in either of those Columns, or if zero hits, you lose $2.  If Column 1 hits you profit $1 on black and $2 on the reds.

From a strictly flat betting point of view, your average over 100 spins would be only -$6. Not bad, considering the fact that he is covering 22 numbers.

I haven't played with approach too much, but I like the idea here. Especially the part where a red on the other 2 Columns allows you to break even and carry on in your progression.  Still fiddling around with the Martingale progression on a full loss.

Thanks for the share!
