My roulette plan

After a few losses recently, I thought I would put together a roulette plan for myself so I have an idea of what I want to achieve for the future. I thought it might help some people, and they might do the same, at least be an interest, or some people may be able to give me advice.

First of all I live in Perth, Australia. We have only 1 casino here, and I live a 5 - 10 min drive, so that is very fortunate. I decided to play all sessions there, as I don't really trust or know enough about online casino's yet

I work an average of 3 days per week, so I have about 3 days per week I put aside to play roulette.

My strategy I am using is of course Victor's Lw stategy. You can see my method under the Situational / Strategy section.

How much I can make per visit? Well I am not a very patient person, not as patient as Victor or Lanky, so when I hit a bad run, I know I don't have the patience to recover and stick to the plan. Thats why I have had some losses recently. Victor's Lw stategy did not fail, I failed to stick to it. I set my limits too high, and I got frustrated. I have revised it to 5 unit sessions. So in a visit to the casino I will break it into 2 x 5 unit sessions. Short sessions are better because I can hit them esily without getting frustrated. I am allowing for the worst case scenario. I also like to win every session. I would rather win a little every session, than to set my limits higher and have losing sessions and try to set a stop loss. Thats just my personality. So I am aiming for about 100 units per week.

At the moment I am playing with $1 units because that is all I can afford. Victor has reccommended a 2000 unit bankroll and after my losses I believe this is necessary to protect against the worst times. But looking to the future, I aim to increase to $5 units when I have that bankroll of $10,000 so at the moment my sessions are not making a lot, but it is the process I am refining, and hopefully it will grow.

At 100 units per week, at $5 per unit, thats $500 per week. Thats worthwhile. And I am still learning. Hopefully my patence will get better and I can make more units per week. At that amount an extra 2 units per session is $100 per week extra.

I also practice on roulette extreme at home whenever I have a chance.

So far today I have hit my limit, and I took it and left. It wasnt easy, I had some bad luck, a few 0's and some unexpected L's is all it takes, but I was prepared for it, and I stuck to the plan, and I hit my limits. So far so good

Witho, this post revisiting your goals is excellent!

I can relate to the frustration because some days no matter how good you are, you simply are going to have to take some loss. I'm talking about those sessions where a break even is truly "godsend".

I discussed it with Lanky; we both agreed that while you can't escape from those days, you can handle them as best as you can and make the impact lower as much as humanly possible, not becoming stubborn in "I must win today", because we all want to go from the casino a winner, but the big picture should be seen: "I must leave this bad day losing the least" ( so I can recoup later ).

QuoteShort sessions are better because I can hit them esily without getting frustrated.

Indeed. I was chatting also about this. That it would be better in order to reach +50 to make several short +10 sessions because +10 seem to be easily achievable with proper bank. The fluctuations of the game are there and the bigger the session -as a general rule-, the larger the fluctuations.

Of course, when you play online you just make a pause and o to the living room to watch TV to let the hour pass to retake your playing, but in a land-based it may not be optimal to buy-in, then color, then buy-in...

Lionel plays on airball roulette ( automated ) so simply hanging around skipping spins is possible for him.  While today most of my sessions are with manual wheel ( human dealer ) I do play airball from time to time, so I can relate...
Which type of roulette do you play witho?

QuoteAt the moment I am playing with $1 units because that is all I can afford.

You are not alone. In fact Lionel and myself mostly play at this level.

I have played higher units but then going too high can be out of my comfort level. I don't recall Lionel even commenting playing with $5's...

You are not alone, there are plenty of 1-dollar warriors around!

Witho, a final piece of advice: you got to learn to use the extremes in your favor to help your averages.

When roulette goes favoring the w's you should win, when roulette goes favoring the L's, you should win too. This is the key of situational play.

In my experience, those positive days when the extremes happen compensate enough for those lesser days when no deviations occur and no marked trend is there to exploit i.e. the "crappy" day gets compensated by the w-dominated days and the L-ruling ones.

Leave the table a winner on the good day! Try to break even or lose the least on the bad days. That's the basic skill to end up positive month after month.

Regards,
your friend.

Victor, I play rapid roulette at my casino. Single 0 wheel, $5 minimum bet. That means I can cover 5 x 6-lines at $1 to make $1 profit for a win. If I want to bet dozens, the minimum is $3 per dozen, the way I do this is 4 6-lines at $1-50. I like this table as you get a high number of spins per hr, and you can sit down without people crowding and bumping you.

We have double zero wheel rapid roulette with a $2-50 minimum also.

Mlany live wheels, and video roulette is new there.

They just opened up a huge 24/7 sports bar, so they are not short of funds!!

Hello to everyone!
I recently discovered this forum and I like it very much. I've already red many posts on this forum and I found
many useful stuff. Hope I'll have a chance to give back some of my thoughts about roulette.

In this topic I see that you are talking about Victor Lw Strategy. I haven't found anything about that strategy on the forum. Did I
miss it? If so, can you give me link where can I read about it.
Thank you!  ;)

lostboy victors Lw strategy is a concept he discovered, and he and lanky have refined it to a level where it has produced some excellent results

Victor or Lanky can give you better ones, but this should get you started. I still havent read all the info thats out there.

Roger, all the best in your quest for success, you are right, we have the technology nowadays of being able to play for fun online and with software, and we can duplicate real sessions with software like Roulette Extreme. If you cant win consistently with this for fun, you definately cant win at a casino for real for long

Just got back from a session tonight, and all went well, hit my limit, and left. Had a shaky start, won 1 unit, and then a loss, so -4. Had to use recovery system, about 5 bets and was complete, and then hit +10 units easily. I didnt break my visit into 2 sessions, becaue as I got to +5 I could feel it was going well so I kept going and hit +10 easily. I guess thats what Victor said about capitalising on the good times when the w's are coming easily.

On the way out, I took a walk around and I could feel the temptation of trying to take more than +10 as I hit it so easily. As I already had my plan written down, I stuck to it. As I was walking out I felt like staying instead of going home. These are the psychological factors that the casino use to turn winners into losers and losers into bigger losers! I think if I didnt write out the plan I may well have stayed and risked becoming a loser.

Well done witho!  As most of us can constest - walking away can be the toughest part!

Cheers!  [smiley=thumbsup.gif]
