Rule 1.Do not play this secret if tables are cold .

Rule 2. Wait on shooter to establish his point,
after that, make a small place bet on the "6" or "8",
whichever you favor most.

At the same time, place a $1 on the hard 6 or hard 8.
Place the $1 on whichever number you choose for your
place bet.

Rule 3 . If an easy 6 comes up you win and are paid
$7 for every six you placed, since it was an easy six
your hard "6" is removed and you must return a dollar
on that hard 6 or hard 8.

Rule 4. When the shooter nails a hard 6 or hard 8
tell the dealer to parlay it. You now have a possible
fortune riding for you in the next few rolls.

Rule 5. When the shooter rolls a second hard 6 or hard
8 tell the dealer to parlay the hard 6 or 8.  You now
have $100 riding for you on the hard 6 or hard 8.

Now is the time for the strategy, with one more hard
6 or 8 you sting the casino for $1000

Rule 6. The way I usually play this bet, I usually ride
with the hard 6 or 8 for three to five rolls. If it
doesn't come out within those five rolls, according to
how I feel, I tell the dealer to down the hard 6 or
hard 8. He then returns $100. I then start the wager
all over again on the very next shooter, starting out
with a $1 on the hard 6 or hard 8 and $6 on the place
bet.

Apply these rules as follows and you will rarely
lose with this $1000 craps strategy.

I am not sure whether the author, via the use of $1000, is saying that's your winning amount or the bankroll necessary to play it...lol.

Hardways bets are classified as "crazy crapper" bets.  And all the 'experts' tell you to avoid them like the plague.  Probably you should.

Can the plan work?  Perhaps.  Rare, indeed, that you will get the requisite amount of repeat hard numbers to make any serious money. That said - it has been known to happen.

One day  while I was playing at the President Casino in Biloxi, MS and a little old lady shoved her way between me and another craps player.  She bought in for $10 and played a $1 on each of the four hardway bets.   Eventually I asked her what was up.  She stated she lost most of her bankroll playing the slots and needed more money.  Her luck was good.  In less than 1/2 hour she had a little bit under $70 which she took right back to the slots.

I find the best use of the hardway bets is to place them as a dealer bet (tip).

Use the above bet only if you have a tiny BR and wish to kill some time at the craps table.  You may get lucky.  Surely you could win enough to pay for a buffet...assuming you quit after you won that amount.
