Hi Sam and Matty

The casino was Casino Tropez.   It was just normal play, I assume RNG.   I'm so glad I've found this website, so much info.   I did get my deposit back, but I just withdrew it straight away and closed my account.   It happened at the beginning of this year.   There was no suggestion of cheating from them, I was just told in an e-mail that I had voided their terms and conditions of the bonus.

It was a sour experience as it was the first casino I had signed up to and I didn't expect something like that to happen.   I now play on Ladbrokes casino, where there is an option to play live, I've nothing but good things to say about them!  :)

Don't ever stop asking questions about peoples strategies Sam, you normally ask the questions that I'm sitting here thinking whilst trying to get my head around a new strategy! [smiley=thumbsup. gif]
Well, there is an explanation to that. . . and you can find it in the General Terms
7.  Bets placed on all versions of Baccarat, all versions of Roulette, all versions of Sic Bo, all versions of Darts, Heads or Tails, all Video Poker games, Blackjack Switch, Blackjack Surrender, Pontoon, and Craps will not be counted toward wagering requirements.

Unlucky me. . . I just started playing this casino some days ago and made +$100 in profit. . . but when I tried to cashout, they told me that Roulette was an "excluded game" and I had to complete the minimum wagering conditions in other games so that I can withdraw my winnings.

Sucks, if there's no other way to withdraw my winnings I'll just ask my money back.

Please keep us posted on how that ends up.

I'm pretty sure there are (and will be) more people in your condition who do not know what to do with their profit and bankroll locked. Shall they find this thread, they'll know thanks to you.

Well, aparently there IS a way out.

I wrote back asking if the $3500 wagering was just a one time event and if after that I could withdraw my winnings from excluded games.     And I just received an interesting reply:

You also have an option to reset your account balance.    With reset, we willremove your winnings since you have not completed your wagering requirementand our Finance Team will return your initial deposit back to your casinoaccount balance.    This new balance will be free from wagering restrictions soyou can play in any games you want or make a withdrawal request anytime.

I think I'll take the offer.     Losing $150 in profit is not bad at all.     As long as I can get my $50 back or get profits without restrictions.

Another way could be. . . to start winning and winning on roulette until I have more than $2000 and then start betting on slot games until I reach the $3500 wagering. . . but that would take A LOT of time and effort and there is no guarantee that the casino will allow to wager from the profits you made from excluded games.

Bonus.
I think the term when related to online casinos is misleading.

"Ohh there gona give me a $300 bonus for depositing."
Nice...

Ahh but read the fine print...
Try get your money out.

Again the old adage applies.
The House always wins. In always.

The amount of people that get so frustrated.
And just leave their money in the casino.

Bonus? how about Bone us?
Give the dog a bone. Try getting it back.
It aint gona happen any time soon.

Every time I open up a new casino account.
I make sure if they have techs or sales people.
That under no circumstances do I want any bonuses.
Or any offers. Or any help.
That way I can use my money.
And get paid out within days.
Fast in. Not so fast out.
5 business days. Or longer.
And if your have withdraws over the holidays.
Or over xmas.
Don't hold your breath.
You may not see any money till next year.

I have been stung by this too. . . .  has anyone started a list of online casinos that do not have wagering requirements? I would be very interested.

Thanks

I'm signing up an account on bet voyager and taking the advice. . .  ie, not dropping a penny into the site before contacting support and requesting no bonuses.  Nadda.

If fact I also asked them to confirm that I will be able to withdraw my balance at any time without wagering requirements. . . .  just in case.

I dont want to spend a bunch of time quadrupling my investment again to be "declined" my withdrawal.  I'm happy to lose, so long as I'm beaten by the game, not a bonus scam!!@#@#!$!$@#@#  :angry2:

Any comments / experiences on bet voyager? it seems people generally speak of the site highly on this forum.

Thanks again.

Thanks for this post. I just opened an account at Dublinbet and I read their conditions. I found these interesting statements:

Quote
In the interest of fair gaming, withdrawals are restricted until a required level of wagering has occurred. At most, the amount of the bonus plus the qualifying deposit must be wagered a minimum of 37 times before withdrawing. This may vary from time to time depending on the promotions current.
I do not really understand the underlined part. Does this mean that if I take the bonus, of say $100 if I deposit $100, I must wager $200 a total of 37 times before I can withdraw? That means I have to waver a total of $7400. Crazy!

Quote
Risk-free and low-risk bets on any games (i.e. betting in proportions on different outcomes in the same hand to create "action" with minimal or no risk) do not qualify towards reducing the wagering requirement.

Examples of low-risk bets include betting
# Betting "Red", "Black", "Odd", "Even", Dozens or Column bets in Roulette
# All 'Double-or-Nothing' bets in slots games
# Other similar combinations in these and other games.

All betting activity on the following games do not qualify towards reducing the wagering requirement.
# All BlackJack & BlackJack Early Payoutâ„¢ games
# All Video Poker games
# All Punto Banco/Baccarat games
# All Texas Hold Em Bonus games
# All Sic Bo games
# All Casino War games
# All Grand Slam Poker games

They are covering their bases quite well.

At least they do offer this part:
Quote3      Accepting or Declining a bonus offer
You will be given the chance of accepting or declining any available bonuses at the time you make your deposit.

At that time, you will be reminded of the wagering requirements. If you accept the bonus, you agree to abide by the wagering requirements, and understand that you will not be able to make a withdrawal from your account until the wagering requirements are satisfied.

No way I am accepting that.

Yes I believe they mean the whole amount, i.e. (deposit + bonus) x 37

They just make it sound as if you only need 37 bets before you can withdraw.

Very typical.

I agree with you guys 100% on the bonuses.  They pretty much cause many players to feel unsatisfied.  I know it sounds like a sales pitch, but Celtic Casino has a 50% Cash Back bonus on the first deposit up to €100.  If the first deposit is lost, then 50% will be refunded with no wagering requirement. You must email support and claim the bonus however.
