koreanprideno1,

The even chances do equalize, but there is no elastic band pulling opposing chances together, as some seem to believe. On the contrary, the actual difference between the numbers of reds and the numbers of blacks increases as you get more spins. The common mistake is to confuse the proportion of reds vs blacks with the number of reds vs blacks over a large number of spins. This is quite a tricky concept, which is why most continue to misunderstand it.  :scratch_ones_head:

Suppose after 100 spins you have 45 Reds and 55 Blacks. The difference between the number of blacks and the number of reds is 10, the proportion of Reds is 45/100 = 0.45

After 1000 spins you might have 470 Reds and 530 Blacks. The actual difference has increased from 10 to 60, but the proportion of Reds is 470/1000 = 0.47.

After 5000 spins it may be 2450 Reds and 2550 Blacks. The difference has again increased to 100, and the proportion is 2450/5000 = 0.49.

So as you take more spins the gap between the number of Blacks and Reds widens but the proportion gets nearer to the theoretical 50%.

It works like this because perfect equality is just one of many outcomes which may occur, and as you get more spins you increase the number of possible outcomes, so that equality is less and less likely to occur.

Reds and Blacks do "cross over" at points, but it could be thousands of spins before you get parity, and in the meantime the drawdowns would be horrendous.  >:D  :suicide:

And the above totally ignores the zero!  needless to say, adding the zero into the equation doesn't help matters.  :'(

Quote@Tangram, how do you play? Do you use the new lw tracker?

Vix,
