Hi Matt,

You will need to have a rule where a minimum number of chips must be placed each round - otherwise if somebody does really well early on they'll just keep sticking 1 unit on a number and coast through the rest of the challenge.

You may need to ban things such as someone sticking all their chips on red (or whatever) for the last spin/round in the hope of a massive double up.

Not much worry about the double up ebrand, as there will be a min and max bet (just like at a table).  I'll most likely be setting this to mimick the DB tables (.50 to 10.00) per number.

Thanks bud,
Matt

Hi Matt,

Any Idea of when you are going to post the spins so we can get started in the meantime, there has been ample time for people to join in,I think once you start posting spins everyone will suddenly wake up,I am getting itchy fingers.

Hey Ronjo,

I agree bud.  I think I will begin posting on Monday of Next week.  I will post the rules today or tomorrow.

Sorry for the delay but I was looking into the possiblility of ensuring that American players could join in as well.  Unforunately, I'm sorry to say that I could not find a "semi-legal" way of this happening.  I was going to simply give the winner my account info to login, and have them use a foreign IP address (and this still could very well work), but I've heard of this happening in the past and it failed too (got caught).  So for now, I still invite American players to play along, but cannot gaurantee that they will be able to actually collect should they win due to American Laws.   Feel free to PM me should you have any ideas.

Rules will be posted later today along with the names of all the challengers to date.  I will also PM all that signed up to give them a heads up.

Anyone not participating, but willing to confirm my numbers (by me sending them to you before hand)?  Thanks a bunch.

Cheers,
Matt

Hi Matt,

Will the winning method be based on net gain on the bank at the end of the challenge or the consistency of the method Like the drawdowns with most methods you could enter a game with inadequate funds for instance I would use $1 chips for 12 #s my B/R has to be $1000 min as my method has had drawdowns of $250-$500 so when I have a losing streak I am confident that I will pull through that streak as long as I have the correct B/R to back me up as I could enter the game straight into a drawdown. And of course there is the standard deviation to take into consideration of your method.

In this particular game I used $5 chips and my B/R was $1000 which is taking a chance I should have had a B/R of $5000 so the rule would be to use a 1% chip value of your B/R

EG: B/R =$1000 = $1 CHIPS
     B/R =$5000 = $5 CHIPS

So in the game I played above I had only 200 chips which was a $1000 to start with and I had a drawdown of 420 chips and quit the game on the second Drawdown of 300 chips still a winner, although I went in with the incorrect B/R so what I am saying is that I could have entered the game on the first drawdown and lost my 200 chips without the correct B/R  to back me up.

So Matt what I suggest is in the challenge it would be wise to use the 1% B/R rule.As I feel most players fail because they dont handle their B/R properly and if their method is any good it wont stand up without the right money management.
So in your challenge a B/R of $250 with a minimum bet of $1 is breaking a golden rule, that B/R is not enough you would need $1000.
So in this challenge if you have the luck to enter the game and there is no drawdown you will have a chance of winning the challenge.
And if you play for real money with  B/R of $250 you can only play with nickels and dimes.

Matt I dont want to put a damper on your challenge, but it is worth the consideration.

Take Care Bud,
Ronjo.

MattyMattz

Hey Ronjo,

You make some very valid points and I thank you for that!  Unfortunately, I don't think it would be right to change the layout of the challenge at this point, so I will stay with the current plan of highest BR at the end is the winner.  Although I would be willing to up the BR for the challenge to 500$ instead of 250$.  I totally agree with you on your BR issue, as I would be in the same boat.

I will definately take your comments into consideration for the next tourney (yes I will be hosting more!).

Thanks again!

Matt
