Am I right in thinking that there used to be a feature which allows you to insert LaTex expressions for nicely formatted mathematical expressions? I think the tag is [tex][/tex]. Is this no longer implemented? I can't see how to insert the tag...

You are right. There were modified sources for that feature, at one of our many reinstalls the sources got replaced by default versions and those were lost.

As we are moving servers, given there is the time, the sources are to be rebuilt and the announced features brought back.

mimetex.cgi has been compiled and is ready for use.

I.e. the expression:

[tex]x=\frac{-b\pm\sqrt{b^2-4ac}}{2a}[/tex]

Sucessfully inserts:

[tex]x=\frac{-b\pm\sqrt{b^2-4ac}}{2a}[/tex]
