Mr J

This happened earlier in the month, tell me if this was only a coincidence. I was playing using my long progression etc. and was the only one at the table (on and off) for quite a few hours. The dealer can not spin if no bets are on the layout, we know that. A few times I have to do some brief calculating and get the proper chips together etc. but no big deal, I can take my time, right? Wrong. This guy sat down (I never saw him before and only him and I were playing) he buys in for $150, big deal. When I got deep into my progression (the expensive stages) he would only put $5 on red and he did it fast. BAM, the dealer grabs the ball and spins! I was not ready a few of the times. LUCKILY my number did not hit on those spins (actually saved me money, lol) but it was odd. When I would get a win and my bets were MUCH easier to start, he would not bet at all. Question being >> You dont think that would be a casino employee sent to my table to F**K me up? Maybe?  Ken

Ouch! (if that's true).

While the "timing coincidence" may have appeared too suspicious this first instance, I'd wait for this to happen some more in the future to draw a possible conclusion.

If:

a) It is the same guy every time, doing the same.
b) The "role" comes from a few different guys, but they ALL do the same thing (not necessarily a bet on red, but ANY other bet to make you miss your heavy steps or to make you prone to human error when betting).

Then I'd start to worry.

Right now, being this (so far) only a 1-time issue, let's just call it a "fluke" and "coincidence"... but if more "coincidences" :pleasantry: happen to start turning the norm, then yes mate, you might be the target of such countermeasure.

Here when players are making it big at roulette, their first countermeasure is to spin the wheel almost as soon as the ball lands (if no payout for the spin), this has been confirmed by my ex-dealer friend as a policy "from above" (no, not god, but management) in order to speed up the game so much that it desperate players and they end up making "crazy bets" (the all or nothing type, misses due to human error, etc.).

Anyway dear Kenneth, if it repeats and you want to be sure then as soon as the misterious player comes up, make a win and leave the table (but not the casino).

Wait a few spins and then come back to the roulette table to check. If the misterious player also stopped playing making the table empty again, come back into the game, and wait to see if the casino has really got you a "tail" :)

Your mate,
Victor

Interesting, good advice Victor.   Ken

Fast spins are the tried and true casino counter measure against system players. They are not liking your play, this is something I always try and avoid. I like to stay under the radar, I don't live in Vegas where theres a casino on every corner I can go to..
