Hi again Wendel. Haven't you been banned 7 times already?

You are a cruel man, six!

Sorry, this is not supposed to be a contest. Just an enquiry into how long a layout based progression can go, while maintaining a realistic net gain at any point.

It's no use being impractical about it, like spilling out $2500 to gain $10, that's just stupid. There has to be balance, you know, trade off duration for profit, or profit for duration.

Ideas anyone?

Straight ups, splits, corners, streets, six lines, dozens, ec's.

Which one will keep you in the game the longest?

Here is my example of a $5 minimum/$300 maximum, 54-step street progression... @ Mr j, you should find your answers within it.

Note the green section at the business end is a repeated maximum table limit bet on the streets, with an explosive progression added to the straight up numbers within said street. Dangerously expensive and absolutely fraught with peril, but effectively pushing the street bet progression beyond it's accepted limits, and also possibly beyond any other layout based progression.

The final net gain is still a respectable 14.9%

Very impressive Bombus - thanks for this.

I have a ton of progressions on my other computer, so I'll have to have a look.  But off the top of my head, can't say I thought of anything better.

@Bombus (or anyone) >>> If you could, help me out with the GREEN bets. (48-54). For #54 example, we are betting what on the street AND then what for 3 numbers? So $6,265 is the BR needed for this? What are the RED bets? (43-47) Why are they in red? Not giving you a hard time, just curious bro.  Ken

The green section is a $300 table limit bet on the streets, with a new progression added to each number in the betted street @-10-20-35-50-65-80-100.

Total outlay on a $5 minimum table is $6265.... scary stuff!

The red section is red because I don't like to go there, and when I play the street strategy that goes with this progression, I sometimes only take $1850 and stop if it goes beyond step 42... I think it's a bit of a sweet spot, and might out perform the full extention in the long term... testing (playing) continues.

Mr J

I like comparing MINE to other progressions, pros and cons. My progression goes to 42 steps and will cost $3,020 if I lose. My first bet starts at $10 just in case the house min. jumps. My NET wins are very nice, no net is under $50. To each their own. Ken :diablo:

@Bombus >> So your casino with a $5 min., has just under 7K inside bet payouts? Ken

Yes.

$300 max on the street @ 11/1 = $3300 plus your $300 back = $3600

$100 max on the straight up @ 35/1 =$3500 plus your $100 back = $3600

Total payout = $6800 plus your $400 back = $7200

--------------------------------

If you were really cashed up, you could push it one more spin and add in the splits. That would cost another $1000 for one last spin!

The total outlay would be $7265.

The payout would be $10200 plus your $800 back = $11000

And if the middle number of your street came up then the payout would be $13600 plus your $1000 back = $14600!

A profit of $7335... wouldn't that be sweet!
