I am going to take a different approach to roulette...

I don't really play roulette anymore because I am too hooked on baccarat. But anyway, I was walking by the roulette wheel yesterday and I had a 10 dollar bill in my pocket. There were a few roulette tables so I went up to the empty one and I thought to myself, I will bet 10 dollars on 17. I ended up winning the bet, I was in shock. The only reason why I picked 17 is because it is my hockey number.

So I decided that whenever I walk by a roulette table I am going to place 5-10 dollars on a random number and RUN AWAY from the table if I win or lose. This will probably never happen again though.

That's awesome John.  I once saw a lady who threw a hundred dollar chip on the table and realized it was a $100 chip before it was too late and you couldn't take your bets back and she hit.  that's what "luck" is all about.  NIce hite nonetheless. 

How is Baccarat going for you as I see your not posting on the Bacc section anymore.  Are you winning consistantly?  Are you still playing at the online casino that takes american players or you playing in a land based casino now?  Thanks

Baccarat is going well. I stopped playing on the online casino because it takes up too much of my time, and I am still waiting to find an consistent system.

I've seen a lot of such "happenings", and wonder if that's what can be called, luck?  One having a thought go through his/her mind, and before being able to say it to another, "it" happens; or sub-conscious "Freudian slip" actions taken just before "it" happens.  The ones which can happen only when there's "no time" to otherwise (really) think and act to reverse those.

"Subliminal advertising" psychology went out along with most of the other 70's stuff, but clearly and undeniably the sub-conscious is alive and well... millions of bits of information processed each second.

If only our thinking brains could tap into it more directly.

I don't think that any of this is precognition ability. I think when the ball is spinning and you are looking at the wheel and suddenly you think "28 is coming" and it hits, I think that your brain has somehow already sub-consciously calculated with the visual information your mind is receiving, where the ball will land.

That is why people think that if they concentrate and whatever and practice, their precog abilities increase.  Maybe your sub-conscious is just learning how to process the info received from the wheel better and that way calculate the outcome more accurately. Think about it. Does these precog claims come from people after the ball is spun or before? Obviously whatever I have said here is nonsence if the bet is placed before the ball is spun. In the couple of times where I have predicted the correct number or in the right vacinity (not alot!) It was always after the ball was spun.

How many times have i stood there and say "31 is gonna come" way brfore the spin and then the number hits ...... none!

Of course in John's case it was clearly just luck because he chose a favourite hockey number.

Exactly...If my hockey number was 5 then I would have picked 5. My situation was all luck.

While I'm not a disbeliever in precognition as I have witnessed real psychic phenomena that is beyond the realm of chance, I think the GREAT majority of such happenings are indeed mere luck. The more people play at roulette tables the more these occurrences are statistically likely to happen.

A couple of days ago I had a gut feeling I should play a chip on zero and it came the very next spin. A nice lucky win.

A dozen or so spins later, I had the same gut feeling about the zero again but ignored it and zero came in on the very next spin again.

I was kicking myself.
