Steve,

I thought I'd continue this theme in a new thread. Since you didn't get very far with the Randi challenge I thought you might be interested in this:

nolinks://nolinks.skeptics.com.au/features/prize/

BTW, I wasn't really trying to make the point that precognition is BS, only that there is as much evidence for it as there is (or isn't)  for winning at roulette using non-physics based methods (ie; VB, Bias, DS or some combination of them). Neither did I specifically mention RNGs, but as you did, are you of the opinion that spins coming from an RNG can be distinguished from those from a wheel?

I don't deny that there is "so much more going on in this universe than we are initially aware of", but it's a big jump from that to making an assertion that precognition " HAS been demonstrated under controlled conditions, many times."  Where can we find out about such experiments and the results? It's no good saying that people who deny that such phenomena exist are "ignorant".  There is a reason why mainstream science has rejected psychic phenomena - there is no hard evidence that it exists. Most evidence is anecdotal and can be explained by psychological biases or just probability. For example, given that there are 6 billion people on the planet, it would be extraordinary if occasionally someone did not experience apparent precognition.

Science must insist on rigor and repeatability, it has to, otherwise it would be overwhelmed by crackpots and no progress would ever be made. And it's not enough to quote authorities like Einstein as in:
Quote"People like us, who believe in physics, know that the distinction between past, present, and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion."

Similarly, I could quote another Einstein gem in support of my thesis that it can't be proven that roulette systems will never win:
Quote"As far as the laws of mathematics refer to reality, they are not certain, as far as they are certain, they do not refer to reality."

Again, I'm not claiming anything either way, only that you can't in all honesty claim that there is more evidence that precognition exists than there is evidence that some roulette systems are consistent winners.

Hi .. well I believe that there is more then we can see hear or feel .. we just not aware of it .. as it doesent really mather in this material world.... unfortunately

I just recieved a Remote viewing course ... wich was also used by the CIA and The Army under the fancy Name Star Gate

I will go thru this home study course .. and see where it wents.... iam open minded and take that serious.. it will take some time but we will see...

by the way check this dude out... I probably claim the spotter fee.. for nominating him.. lol

I'm not going to say that it doesn't exist either.  I just imagine ESP would happen in a more dramatic setting, like if a life was in danger or a terrorism attempt.

Steve

Thanks for the link nolinks://nolinks.skeptics.com.au/features/prize/ - as i did with Randi, I'll contact them and see if they accept my proposal.

Do research on the "majority vote" method for precognition. I have hard copy results of some official testing which are extensive and very clear, and you may be able to find them on the internet somewhere. I've conducted trials of my own but have to do some result tallying which will be at least a whole day, which I havent been able to find yet but the trial is actually done (nolinks.genuinewinner.com/precog.html)

Realistically, without emotion, I can honestly say there is enough information to indicate precognition is indeed real. While it is illusive, it is certainly not beyond the realm of science.

Steve

Ok I emailed them the following. Let's see how this one turns out:

Hello, I was notified about your $100,000 challenge and propose the following, which is a very simple experiment to etablish the fact that we are all able to influence the properties of objects by thought and emotion alone - without any physical contact.

The experiment is widely replicated througout the world, and I see no reason why it would be any different for the challenge.

The basics are as follows:

1. Boil rice and put it in two jars. On one jar is written "hate" or some kind of destructive word/phrase. On the other is written "love" or a similar constructive word/phrase. Both jars are properly sealed. They dont need to be so simple - it's more what creates a strong emotional response to the observer. For example, often "you make me sick. I will kill you" is far more powerful than simple "hate".

2. Each day for a few minutes per day, one observer will focus on the words of one jar, and the rice inside. Another observer will do the same with the other jar. For clear results, there ideally should be multiple jars and multiple participants.

3. My claim is the rice with the negative words/phrases will turn black relatively quickly - over the space of 4+ weeks depending on the observer. The rice with the positive words/phrases will remain white for a much longer period. The whole process can take 2+ months - it depends on numerous variables.

The concept behind it is not that the words influence the rice - it is the individual's emotion and energy. You can see further evidence of it at nolinks://hado.net

Granted while this experiment may not exactly be levitating objects, it is a good start to demonstrating an energy that current scientific equipment is unable to detect and measure. Once you see this, perhaps you will be more open to other things.

It is noteworthy that I posed the same challenge to Randi.org, although their terms were competely unreasonable as if their whole challenge existed to discredit such phenomena - it appeared they were not actually interested in scientific fact and the pursuit of truth. For example, the challenger needed to have "media presence". I'm no TV star. I'm certain there are authentic psychics out there, but how many of them do they think are TV stars? Wouldnt such a ridiculous term exclude 99.99% of psychics? Another term was that I needed to have the experiment witnessed by an academic. Should it really be required?? If all scientific experiments had such requirements, nothing would ever get done. It is a simple test. I'm sure you get my point - I'm interested in the truth, as I hope you are.

Best Regards,

Steve

I think that guy is getting stoned while playing - you can see the smoke fly in front of the camera, and what appears to be a pipe in the top right. Not that I have a problem with that. In fact drugs do open up parts of your mind.

Anyway, whether or not he is legit, I noticed when he spins, the camera starts to move around slightly. Why right then and not when the ball is static? It COULD be because of the wheel/ball movement, but it does look suspicious. With that movement it would be easier to chop and join video.

I'm neither saying he is or isnt legit. But I would like to know more so I'm contacting him. I'll post progress here.

While it is true there are countless scammers/tricksters etc around, if we assume they are all the same, then when someone legit comes alone, they will be overlooked. I'm just saying keep an open mind, or you block your own learning.

That's ozzy onespin who post this link on RF a couple of days ago..the stuff hes doin.. smokin, drinkin and blarin live loud music demonstrate how difficult it would be to "reverse engineer" the video and dub the audio on top of it..He makes it looks so easy and fun huh?... get my kiss albums out and test it..

Steve

Over such a short video, it would be easy to fabricate it all. Either way I contacted him. I also once contacted spin geek but never got a response. Their ebook was sound in theory, but the video evidence they showed could have easily been faked.

poxet pool

A short video ozzy is posting? and easy to fake?.Which one are u looking at? theres a couple 10 min. marathons...he's doin a good job above amateur editing if he's faking it...i knda hope it's real...this would be a paradise income maker...No need to "climb up a hill" and clean the clutter of thoughts..Just back alley gutter rock n roll crash and burn non stop 24 hr. party..

Steve

I'm not considering the length of the video - i'm looking at the number of spins.

Also I created a new board for this kind of discussion. See nolinks://vlsroulette.com/precognition-and-telekinesis/

I'll move this thread and perhaps others there later.

I could not help but laugh at the irony of a comment
made by breeze888 in his post.
He was talking about his remote viewing course and
commenting that he would "see how it went"
lol, get the coordinates right and you might be able
to see more than you bargained for.
The U.S. Government spent millions on this kind
of research.

QuoteDo research on the "majority vote" method for precognition.

This reminds of Derren Brown's recent (apparently successful) attempt to predict the winning numbers in the UK national lottery using the "wisdom of crowds". - nolinks://derrenbrown.channel4.com/derren-brown-wisdom-of-crowds.shtml

QuoteI've conducted trials of my own but have to do some result tallying which will be at least a whole day, which I havent been able to find yet but the trial is actually done
.

This forum would be a good springboard to do a few tests. It's just a matter of creating a web page with a couple of input buttons (say Red & Black) and a real-time display of spins from Wiesbaden Casino. You could then add code to get the majority vote and collect results. Over time, you could see how accurate the predictions were, and not only that but you could categorise the results according to how many "voters" there were for any given spin and see what differences (if any) there were for more rather than fewer voters.

Victor has mentioned adding something like this to the forum for a long-time, not specifically for testing precognition, but for general testing and "challenge" purposes. Maybe he'll get around to it now that he has more time for coding.
