2012 is the end of an age, and beginning of a new age. It does NOT mean the world is going to end. 2012 being the end of the world is a human interpretation.

Nevertheless, I do believe our planet is going to go through some major changes soon, good or bad. It is inevitable as if things dont change, something's gotta give.

They thought year 1000 was going to be it, then 1991 was going to be it. y2k, then 2002, now 2012 (sigh).

Why can't it be: "Yipeee! It didn't end on ______ (x,y,z date)! Let's move on happily as we live on"...

Davey-Jones

I think what makes it even funnier is that in all the dates there is not one Sept. 11 2001. I'd at least give them some credit if they could predict that one.

The S11 protest against the meeting of the world's most powerful corporations was in Australia's crown casino exactly 1 year to the day before september 11th / WTC. Eerie coincidence? Hmm. The rabbit hole goes much deeper.

With "uncle Ben" at the bottom of both.

I think you are reaching Steve.

People were hungry a century before the invention of French Fries. OMG!!!

QuoteI think you are reaching Steve.

Do ample research, in detail, then tell me I'm reaching. Once you begin to see it you will wonder how you could be so blind. Until then, I am reaching.

"The Final Book" of Nostradamus also predicts that the end of the World will be in 2012" >>> I am not a believer in this guy, Nostradamus. Can someone do me a favor? Can someone post what WILL happen in the future.....after reading his book/predictions. I'm growing tired AFTER a major event, "See, see, thats just what Nostradamus said would happen". Ken

Until someone "hammers out" a theory of everything, or Grand Unified Field Theory (as Einstein put it, which most educated persons now feel can't exist, at least not in that way), there will be no such person or book.

Simple as that, so i guess at least Steve is out of the running?

Steve

Garnaby, you dont even believe in advantage play - something that should be so plainly obviously legitimate to someone as "educated" as you.

To say there is no theory that would explain everything is shortsighted. Might not be just one single theory, but you are basically saying that things wont ever be figured out. How long has the universe as we know existed? Now how long has "modern" society existed? Tell me, are we "advanced", or still pooping in our nappies? We are not even out of the womb.

I suppose there is no chance of life on other planets either? Nothing out there but rocks and gas. Only "god" can create life with a wave of his wand, "bling". If you believe otherwise... you are going to HELL.

Earth is flat. Maths is evil.

Not even close to which I wrote/meant.  Why must everything truly-scientific (, look up the word,) always end up like that from you?

You wrote that you dropped out of your formal education because you saw no further value in it (for yourself).  But such knowledge, and cognitive skills absolutely will be necessary to arrive at such a (single) theory of everything.  Eg, one can't put together the pieces of the "illusion" or puzzle (, as Einstein meant the former word,) w/o at least a scholarly understanding of those scholarly theories, etc.

Furthermore, such a theory would answer even the sorts of the questions you broached above, regardless our own species' development or lack of.  To that end, I think you give the academics way too little credit... nay, have no idea of what has already been figured out, and what is on the "drawing boards".

I wonder if you aren't doing that on purpose, in an effort to "dumb down" the crowds here and there... softening them up for "the sell"?

One way or the other, how silly to even want to pretend there are any real scientists (for real findings/inventions) around any of these boards... much less yourself.

Steve

Garnably your most relevant comment is centered around the concept that you believe you need a formal education to figure things out and get the job done. I simply disagree. But let me be clear in stating I do NOT believe formal education has no value at all. Of course it has value. I never said it had no value. Of course one can learn this way. Just that it was not my chosen way to learn. It had completed my applied physics course, I would have no more knowledge than what I do now. The way I chose to learn was quicker. Where did I learn? From the same damn physics books you probably learned from, plus many others that arent taught in school.

What I'm saying has nothing to do with the sale of anything. Get your head out of that area.

Steve,

For all the "sh*t" you put up with, you're not such a bad guy.

But let's see who gets to the published TOE (theory of everything) first?  Show me yours, and i might show you mine.

"people like Mr J who have literally declared "jihad" on me" >>> I'm gonna try and use YOUR rules on this. The fact that you used my name here is fine, I think you know me well enough to know I dont care. I'm more interested in the consistency. However, you are stirring the pot (again) and causing others to respond. If you CHOSE, you could of responded to this post and NOT used anybodys name, correct?

Practice what you preach. Sooo, if someone here asked me a question and I inserted YOUR name into my response, there should not be a problem with it, correct? I am tired of you Steve causing trouble and when I DEFEND myself, you cry out "stop causing problems Ken!" Its getting old bro and VERY obvious, get new material. I'm bad for business and he knows it.  Ken
