Modified version of the Diodoro System.

On request I post here some modified versions of the Diodoro System. The modifications are made by RPro and the full texts can be seen on the following link: hxxp: nolinks. rouletteforum. net/cgi-bin/forum/Blah. pl?m-1236452469/

RPro starts of with his basic modifation : "tracked 24 spins and there were about 17 numbers that had not hit. I played those numbers using a progression until only 5 had not hit. " ( the original system tells you to start over with tracking when a number gets hit).
Basicly their are 2 systems ( I noted where the second system starts). A critical point of the first system was that it could only be succesfull on an automatic wheel. I think RPro wanted to adjusted that hence his second version which is probably more safe, but both where succesfull in his testings.

Ps: I put some of my own comments in highline. If I can answer any question I will try to do that. Also the original posts are worth looking in to.

RPro's modified versions:

I tracked 24 spins and there were about 17 numbers that had not hit. I played those numbers using a progression until only 5 had not hit. While I was tracking, I played small on the 5 that had not come in and won a little on those as well. It is important to note that after 100 spins, there were still 3 "sleepers". I started over again tracking after I did this. Diodoro's system only allows you to bet using a progression until you hit one time and then you must track again. I continued doing it until I got down to only 5 numbers from 17. Basically, I hit 12 numbers and took down good profits until only 5 had not shown, then I began again.

I used a couple of different progressions always with 5 stages and I only played colors. I used 1,3,7,15,35 or 2,5,11,25,60 unit progressions, respectively.

Here RPro comes with some sollid rules:

I tracked 24 spins and there were 19 numbers that had not hit. This time, I picked 8 of those and bet using a progression. 1 unit is $. 25. My beginning bankroll was 400 units ($100. 00). The progression was 4,4,8,8,10,12. When I hit a number, I crossed it off the list of unhit numbers and added one that did not hit. I always had eight numbers until there were 8 of the 19 left unhit. At this point I would track again. Unfortunately, I did not have time today but after one session, here are the results:

It is interesting to note that I only hit 4 numbers in 17 spins yet produced a $76 profit. If I had time, I am not sure if it would have averaged itself out. I planned on playing this cycle as long as I had eight unhit numbers to bet on. I guess that means that I could not play until there only 5 unhit numbers left, I would have to stop at eight unhit numbers. After 41 spins, 11 unhit numbers still remained. That means 73% of all numbers spun up in 41 spins, leaving 27% of the wheel unhit.

Anwer:

I have chosen the 8 numbers to bet on a couple of different ways. One time, I started from the highest unhit number and worked my way down, once I just chose 8 numbers so that it was even from the dozens, ie- 2 numbers from the first dozen, 3 from the second, 3 from the third, etc. I guess there are several ways to do that. You can chose 4 odds, 4 evens, 4 reds, 4 blacks, etc. Also, you could just randomly pick 8 numbers.

An idea that is later introduced by RProis choosing from each dozen a somewhat equal amount of numbers.

Sum up:

You track 24 spins and then write down all of the unhit numbers. You then choose 8 of those numbers and bet using the progression 4,4,8,8,10,12. You bet the unhit numbers until there are 7 unhit numbers left then you start over. If an unhit number comes out and it is not one of the eight you are betting on, you still cancel it out. If one of the eight you are betting on hits, you cancel it out and choose another unhit number so you always have eight. You never play if there are only 7 unhit numbers left.

I tried a system of 10 numbers on a progression. Those numbers were the zeros and their neighbors. The ten numbers are 0,00,1,2,9,10,13,14,27,28. The progression is 1,1,1,2,3,6,8,10. Beginning bankroll is 400 units ($100. 00). Here are the results:

Money management:

I only play real wheel, no RNG. I bring 400 units ($100. 00) to the casino and that is all. Everything else stays at home. I take two forms of identification with me, and I leave $10 in the car should I need to stop somewhere or want something to eat or drink on the way home. I learned to do this on advice from another regular roulette player at the casino about two months ago, and it has been working great so far. It's design allows a short term profit of $75-100 in about 50-60 total spins if you count the 24 spin tracking cycle. My aim is to double my bankroll. After I have doubled it, that is where the discipline must come in. It is hard to leave and I have stayed on certain days and won a lot more, but I have also lost the $100 profit and my bankroll as well because I did not have the discipline to get up and walk out with $100 profit. When I double the $100 and I walk out, I feel really great on the way home.

I am considering changing the system in the respect that instead of only betting on 8 numbers, I may up it to 10 to see what happens. Also, I am thinking of changing the progression to 1,1,2,3,4,6,8,10. Results to follow.

The first test with the new modifications showed great promise. Here is the new system:

1. Track 20 spins and record the numbers.
2. Choose 10 unhit numbers to bet on.
3. When one of your 10 hits, pick another unhit number to bet on so you always have 10.
4. If an unhit number spins up and you were not betting it, remove it from play just the same.
5. When there are 10 unhit numbers left, stop play and begin tracking cycle again.
6. Use a 7 or 8 stage progression. I used 1,2,3,4,6,8,10.

Here are my test results:

First 20 spins were: 18,29,4,10,7,32,12,16,5,24,30,21,35,21,8,28,29,8,3,8.

The progression did not fail and only made it to 5th stage(6 units per number) once. I profited 416 units in 27 spins (47 total spins counting 20 spin track cycle).

Sum up:

You bet 10 numbers instead of 8 and you stop playing and re-track when there are 10 unhit numbers left. Also, you only need to track for 20 spins instead of 24. You use the 8 stage progression 1,1,2,2,4,6,8,10.

The system is based on the fact that on the average 24 different numbers will show in 36 spins.

New idea introduction:

I think I have come up with an even better way to play this. Here are the rules:

1. Record 24 spins.
2. Write down all numbers that have not hit. (Line 1)
3. Write down all numbers that have hit once underneath that. (Line 2)
4. Your first bet will be all the numbers in Line 1. If a number from Line 1 hits, it will be crossed off and moved to Line 2. (This is done whether you are betting Line 1 at the time or not)
5. After you hit a number from Line 1, you will then bet all the numbers in Line 2. If a number from Line 2 hits it will be crossed off and removed from play. (This is done whether you are betting line 2 at the time or not)
6. You will then go back to back to betting Line 1, and so on. You will alternate betting lines after a hit.
7. Use a progression of 1,2,4,6,9.

The idea is to bet evenly on unhit numbers as well as numbers that have already hit once. In my tests, the progression only made it to 6 once. Results are posted below.

This is the first losing test in quite some time applying the unhit/one-hit variation. I am posting all tests because I don't want to be accused of only publishing winning results. I do want to add that that there have been 11 successful tests previous to this one. I used my normal 4 stage progression of 1,2,4,8 and bet until there were 10 unhit numbers left.

Hi RPro,
I realize you've declared yourself "out of roulette" forever, which is unfortunate and I hope temporary.
I have followed your mostly successful system forays with curiosity as you developed them.
At the same time, you survived your initial "baptism by critic" on this forum, then emerging with an extremely positive attitude;
for which I commend you.
That is why I am surprised at your abrupt, and I hope transient end, after declaring roulette has failed you. An enigma maybe?

I was more surprised when you stopped your progress with the Diodoro system mod a few weeks ago. At last count you seemed to be up by well over $1000 real USD according to your postings and I for one, believe you would not fib about numbers.
The astonishing part was that your success came with a . 25 cent unit base, which makes for spectacular play for a guy developing a new system.
By loose calculations, if you had played with $1 or 1 Euro units you would have been up over 5000 dollars/Euros at the point that you decided to switch and try other systems.
Then again, you didn't describe your turn off session either.

The reason this was baffling to me was that I could see (in your case) the potential for this system.
It just needed a bit of polishing to your local specs.
Let me explain. Members asked you a ton of questions about a ton of subjects. Some replicated your success, while others could not. I think Simon had the best questions and also the best suggestions for you to expand on.

The most important factor is where you play and what you play.

It works for you because you are playing automated-roulette
This is possibly why this system (at times) worked for you and not others.

Your system would not work very well or for very long with online roulette.
It also does not work very well with live dealer roulette.
There is a reason for this.
I am sure you already know this: Online roulette computer programs generate a very superficial randomness almost all the time.
Doesn't matter where you are in the program, it is going to be weird.
Simply put, it is always a computer's version of what's random. No matter what physics laws you might want to apply, the computer program is usually going to cheat this and not comply over your short spin cycle. .

Live roulette develops randomness on a much more awesome scale.
Take a look at those live numbers that everybody wants you to download.
Live roulette is studded with quirks caused by the nature of the real wheel.
However, even with the quirks, live roulette eventually evens out and complies with the laws, but over a much more massive spin scale.
An example would be where usually, outside bets do not come close to 50/50 until thousands of spins into a cycle.
That is why Martingale is so fickle, and why Red can come up 26 times in a row, but still get near 50/50 odds over 10,000 + spins. .
These facts do not matter where you're concerned, as you are playing the middle kingdom, Auto-Roulette.
This is also why this is a good system for you.

Auto Roulette is special.
It combines some of the robotic results of a computer, while still being essentially a live wheel, but without much direct human contamination.
Most of this is by proxy.

Because of its so mechanical, auto-wheels tend to give cleaner, purer results, and will tend to be more random over much shorter cycles than a live wheel, which have to contend with much more variables by their less-than- accurate nature.
This one fact works very much in your favour.

Basically, an auto-roulette system will tend to disperse the ball more evenly in shorter time periods.
So, your short cycle has a much better chance of completing itself than with a live wheel.
That is why your system doesn't always translate and play well when run against live wheel numbers, as more idiosyncratic behavior is involved.

There is a couple of caveats to this that I hope can help get your raw system's percentages cleaned up a bit.

First a question: Many auto-roulette systems graph out the last 500 spins in a sub-display. Does yours?
The reason for this is that the systems can display things like "Hot" & "Cold" numbers and the hit rates on all numbers over the latest 500 spins. This is very attractive to many casual players and gives them an excuse to play robotic roulette, thinking they have a lot of inside information prior to playing.

In a way, this is true. It is a lot of info. It is just that most folks don't know how to turn this kind of information into an attribute.
The most important information is always what a wheel does NOT do that will help you the most.
When you look at the "more information" screen, they will usually show a graphic of the wheel with the Hot numbers in Red and the Cold numbers in Blue.
Then they will list the hit rates over the last 500 cycle. The rest of the numbers will be displayed in grey.

Here's the rub: Just because a wheel is robotic does not mean it isn't quirky in some ways.
I am often surprised at how uneven the "Last 500" cycle appears on an auto-wheel.
While they are not beaten up or abused by dealers, they do get effected by wear and long term repetitious and continuous play. .
This can tell you that just because it is robotic, does not mean it's not biased.
The reason this does not help somebody looking for a bias wheel is the same reason the house has confidence in showing you the info at all.
Almost all auto-wheels give last call almost immediately after the start of spin with no time for anyone to read the ball spin deceleration + rotor and make a visual prediction.

The most important information is going to be the un-hit numbers. Usually over the 500 spin cycle there will be at least 3-4 numbers (sometimes more) with a hit rate of 3 or under.
You should know your wheels by now, so take the time to check this a few times over a 3 day+ period. While you're at it, also check those hot numbers. If one of them consistently get a high hit %, this usually means there is something askew with the rotor separators.

There are usually 2 types of number separator bars or "number fences". They are usually less than a few centimeters high (1/2 inch or less).

The first type is a solid web that removes from the number rotor in one piece.
These can warp over time and bend slightly, creating a trap for the next number.

The second is a series of screwed in bars, tabbed at the end and set in place with a small screw & lock washer. These can come loose so that when the ball hits them during scatter, it acts like a brake and tends to stop in the adjacent number.
Hence, the number will come up more often, or the adjacent number, less.
Just because an automated wheel is not subjected to the rigors of dealer-play does not mean they don't wear out at certain selective points.

When not taken care of, physical imperfections can cause both the Hot & Cold effect.
However, the house usually only considers Hot numbers a problem. Hot numbers tend to be less reliable, as they get recognized as a liability and fixed more often than cold numbers.
Usually cold numbers are not considered a problem.
After all a number NOT hitting will probably not be a liability or cause players to win by playing them too often, Right?
Not so fast.
Perfect play only produces a 5. 76% + or - advantage on the double zero wheel.
If you take 3-4 of those numbers out of the equation, you are changing the odds a few percentage points in your favour, especially when playing an automated wheel that tends to disperse numbers evenly in a short-cycle.
With your Diodoro Mod, if you already know that these "dead" numbers are very unlikely to come up, you never include them in your cycle.
But first, find out if those 3 "sleepers" you find are permanent or not by watching them over more than the 24 spin cycle.
While "proven" long-term hot numbers would always be included.

Another way to change the odds a little:
After you've done your calculations & are choosing your 10 numbers to play. Take a look at the remaining un-hit numbers and see if there is any combo that lines up in a street bet.
Example: if 2 of the un-hit numbers are 14, 15. play the 13,14,15 single-street bet.

If there are more street combos, play these as non-progression single-street-bets also.
Then, pick your 10 numbers.
You have only increased your bet by 1 or 2 units while still covering your 10 un-hits.
Don't double up these "standby" street bets, even if you use a progression.
They are just insurance that allows you to play more than 10 of your un-hit numbers in the 24 cycle.

I hope your auto system includes the graph system, as this can really help you by saving a lot of clocking over time.
Even if you don't have the video info graphs at your auto-wheels, try and take the time to graph your wheel anyway.
Take the old cycles you have played and compare them so that you can try and ID any permanent or semi-permanent intransitive numbers that stand out.

I realize that some players may not agree with my analysis. Or, that there is a dichotomy between types of wheels.
All I can tell you is that when you compare results of the given roulette types, the patterns and numbers differences will concur.
I would also advise against using this system, unmodified, for live wheel play.

After been given some guidance, i am enlightend, and agree with the above. I was also not aware though that you were playing automated wheels Rpro. Maybe should have read a little closer, so my fault. Maybe Icemaker (aka SB) is right, in that your system - THIS system, should be used and is right for the conditions you play in, ie: automated wheels. I can and now see the logic in that. I guess everyone is always learning new things daily.

Just for the record too - my comments to Rpro were not meant in a "negative" way, i was trying to be realistic. I got some information wrong for which i admit to, but my intention was never to "critisize" the guy. I think i even said i wasnt trying to be offensive or whatever.

I have been doing some testing using 160 live spins that I collected Thursday evening from the automated roulette machine that I play on at Indian Bend Casino. It seems that the best way to go is to wait 30 spins and play the numbers that have hit twice, not the unhit numbers. After 30 spins, I collected all of the numbers that had two hits and played them with this progression: 1,1,2,2,3,4,5,6,8,10,12,14. When I got a hit, I stopped and re-counted all the two hit numbers and repeated the cycle. I think that I need to collect about 200 spins maybe 5 more times from the same wheel and test the same way. If all 5 tests are successful, I may have found the system which will "beat" this particular wheel, as Iceman suggested. It could mean that on this particular wheel, numbers tend to spin up three times before many numbers hit at all. In my test of these 160 spins, the progession did fail once as I went 16 spins without a hit. The system then recovered and only went to the last stage of the progression once after that. I finished +264 units in 160 spins. The profits are smaller this way, but I feel this is a much safer way to play this particular wheel and it may just be the key to consistent winnings on it, even if it is more time consuming to produce 200-300 units profit ($50-$75 in quarter units). It took me approximately 3 hours to collect 160 spins. More testing is needed, but I feel I am on the right path. I am analyzing the wheel not the game, as many have suggested I do.

I have decided to try this system using red and black streaks. The variation is simple.

1. Track 30 spins.
2. Make two columns, label one red and one black.
3. In the "red" column, list all red unhit and one-hit numbers. 0 counts as red, 00 as black.
4. Do the same for the "black" column.
5. Wait for two numbers of the same color to spin up and then bet the numbers in the opposite column. (2 red spins, bet the numbers in the black column).
6. Use this progression: 1,2,4,6.
7. If you lose the progression, wait for two more numbers of same color to spin up and repeat.
8. If you hit a number, it is removed from play at the end of a winning progression.
9. Stop at 80 spins and repeat.

I have found an even better way to do this. Use the same rules except use unhit numbers only. This way you can bet less numbers, use a longer progression, and still take advantage of color patterns. Instead of betting for 80 spins, bet until there are 4 numbers left in one column and repeat. As soon as one column has only four numbers left, you start over. Use the progression: 1,1,2,3,4,6,8,10,12,14. Getting fantastic results so far!

After some more testing, I've found a super reliable way to play this system. I think the beauty of Diodoro's system in general is that there are so many ways to play unhit numbers. I have even been using Kimo Li's American Matrix to track numbers and analyze possible dues and frequencies. Anyway, my latest variation of the Modified Diodoro system is this:

1. You track for 24 spins and you use the number lines he provided to cross off your numbers.

European wheel:

Line A: 1,2,4,5,9,14,15,16,17,19,20,21,24,25,31,32,33,34
Line B: 3,6,7,8,10,11,12,13,18,22,23,26,27,28,29,30,35,36

American wheel :

Line A:1,2,9,10,11,12,13,14,23,24,25,26,27,28,29,30,35,36
Line B:3,4,5,6,7,8,15,16,17,18,19,20,21,22,31,32,33,34

It is interesting to note that each line forms two sectors opposite each other on the wheel (European). Surprisingly, it still works just as well for the American wheel.

2. After 24 spins, you count up the number of crossed out numbers in each line. The line with the least amount of numbers crossed off will be the line you bet on first (In Diodoro's original system, you bet on the line that has the most numbers crossed out). If there is a tie, look at the last number spun, if the last number spun is in Line B, your first bet will be Line B. You only bet on the numbers in the line that have not been crossed off.

3. You use the betting chart provided in Diodoro's system. This chart is basically a progression chart where the total of the numbers you are betting on corresponds to a progression. The minimum numbers to bet is 8. Once you don't have eight numbers to bet on in a line, the line is "dead"(In Diodoro's original system, you can bet if you have just 6 numbers, but I've upped it to 8 as the minimum numbers you can bet). I still use his progression chart as it is mathematically sound, but I stop betting at 8 numbers instead of 6.

4. If your first line to bet is A, when you get a hit you bet on Line B next, then Line A, and so on until there are 7 numbers remaining in each line, at which point you can no longer bet so it is time to start over.

In a nutshell, I am following the directions he lays out to the letter until I get my first hit. At this point, Diodoro recommends starting over. This only gives you one betting opportunity every 24 spins, and if the conditions aren't right, you may not even get that. My variation lets you keep going so that you will on the average place 4-6 bets every 24 spins. So far, it has not failed me. Also, my test results are posted. Guys, I really think this is the best of the variations so far and I would like you all to do some testing and post your thoughts, ideas, and results if you have the time. Here are tests 7 and 8, both using real numbers from two recorded sessions I had at Indian Bend about 3 and 4 weeks back, respectively. I was not using this system, however, and I incurred a $60 loss on one session, and a $48 win on the other, according to my records. I play using quarter units, so if I had been using this system I would have had a win of $26. 50 (Test 7), and $27. 50 (Test . I would have been +$54 for the two sessions instead of -$12. Very interesting. Like I said, the profits are a little smaller using this method, but consistent. If you play with dollar units, or Euro units, you would be making on average $75-$100 per session which is roughly 35-50 spins.

This new variation is it, I think. No more tweaking necessary. It won't win every time, but I think an 80% win rate is not unrealistic to expect. These are random numbers from RX. I keep on spinning, and it keeps on winning!

Well, the new modified system has just achieved it's 10th consecutive win. After a 3 week hiatus from the casino, I feel confident enough to go today with a $100. 00 bankroll (400 units). I will apply the system for one cycle and see if it produces 75-100 units profit as it has done under testing. I will bring the results back and post them today. These numbers are from Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut.

Explanation of why:

Thanks, I will look into the BOT. The newest variation is the one I have been having so much success with lately (I've included a link to the post). This variation is based on Diodoro's original system more closely than the other variations. This modification uses his lines to make your bet selection for you, so it is based on the principles he set down in his system. As to why it wins, I'm guessing because it relies on the math that on the average after 24 spins, 18 different numbers will show. The lines weed out the numbers that have already shown, and allow you to bet on the ones that will show to make 24 different numbers in 36 spins, which is the average. Also, on the European wheel, each of his lines makes up two sectors, opposite each other on the wheel, so it also based on sleeping/hitting sectors as well. As a matter of fact, his system tells you to start your first bet in the sectors that have been hit the most, mine does the opposite. Also, with my system, you are not just betting on unhits because while you are betting one line, unhit numbers from the other line may show, but you do not cross out numbers as they come up after the initial 24 spins, you only cross out numbers you have hit on. In this way, you are betting on some one hit numbers as well, not only that, they are numbers that have recently hit within the last few spins and may repeat again soon. That is my analysis as to why it works so well. I have included the link to my latest modification, if you read through it thoroughly I am sure it will answer any questions about how to use the new mod. If not, feel free to ask me. I know it won't win every time, but I am hoping for an 80% success rate.

Boy, do I wish I could play on Dublin Bet for real! I would be up $562 today if I could. I did another test using their live wheel playing for fun. They give you $500 in fun money so I usually try to lose $100 of it so it equal to the amount of units I start with. This time, after 24 spins, both lines only had 7 numbers so neither one qualified (usually never happens). I decided to bet the numbers anyway. I bet one line, then started betting the unhit numbers in both lines, different line bets each time. It worked well. I went up +500 units quick. The results are below:

So far, I have played 9 "real" sessions at Indian Bend casino with the newest modification (refer to post #117) and the system is 9/9. I know at some point the system will fail, but as I stated in earlier posts, I am looking for an 80% win rate (8 wins out of every 10 sessions). This will ensure I am always in profit with the system. My goal is just to be able to make my car payment and pay for the gas to the casino every month playing roulette. (about $400 total). I think if I can play 20 sessions a month at the casino, it should produce $400/month in profit. That includes 4 losing sessions. Also, on the average, I usually build up enough comp points at the casino every month to cash in for about $40-$50. That should offset one of the losses. I think the reason why many people fail at roulette is that they set unreasonable goals for the system and bankroll they are using. If you take a $100 bankroll (and a $100 reserve) to the casino like I do and play in quarter units, you can't expect to win $5000 a month playing roulette. You can expect to win $250-$500 per month if you are playing reasonably and with a good system. I work full time and like what I do, so roulette is just a hobby and I have a lot of fun playing. I really love playing and have a passion for the game. I do think that with a proper bankroll ($10,000 or more) you can make $10-20,000 per month if you play smart and have a system and the support of a professional like Steve. I really believe that is possible. If I had the money to invest and did not work full time, I would consider making a career out of roulette. Maybe that is something to think about in retirement. Anyway, enough babbling on! So far, I have been playing with the new mod for about two weeks I think and here are the results to date:

Well, I finally had a bad session. The very first string busted the 12 stage progression, and I lost $120. Of course, it hit on the 13th spin, which I wasn't playing. That's always the way I guess. Anyway, I am still up about $650 in the month of April. I just hope that I don't lose 2 in a row.

You are probably using the two lines of the American wheel.

European wheel:

Line A: 1,2,4,5,9,14,15,16,17,19,20,21,24,25,31,32,33,34

American wheel :

Thank you for posting all of this! In your opinion, which version is the best? 1st or 2nd? And you still use the 1,1,2,3,4,6,8,10,12,14 progression for the 2nd way of playing right? thanks!

Hi their. Sorry to say but I have not played the system yet, so I can not answer your question. However their are a lot of opinions abouth the different variations of the systems.Take into account that some of these say that the first part of the systems I posted only work fore automatic wheels ( not RNG of course ). Don't know if that is true or not but I take it serieusly. Nothing wrong with automatic wheels though! Hope you be succesfull with them. Take care.
