Look at the game in different ways

I, unlike a lot of the naysayers on these Roulette sites, like to add positive views and helpful hints on ways to make positive outcomes on Roulette.  I know that there definitely are 'smarter' players out there who can win consistently, even if small but steady wins is what they're doing, it's still positive in the long run.

Not to take away from many good people on this site who are playing various ways, but I just want to add a few of my opinions of doing things differently. 
Since a few years ago, I have been researching a lot of different systems and ways to play from so many different people and view points, and have come out with a few important points to take into consideration when playing Roulette.

Some of these are: Never bet 'against the wheel', that is, 'the gambler's fallacy', where you have the thought, X must come up eventually.  True, the percentages do get higher in your favour as outcomes 'sleep', but if you play any system with this 'train of thought', you are almost certain to end up in the river without your shirt!
This I'm afraid is where I have to agree with the naysayers on this site when they continue to warn people off playing with those kinds of systems i. e.  'The Zone'.  That way of betting is just not profitable long term.

Better ways to gamble when watching the wheel, is to 'follow' rather than 'bet against' the outcomes that appear.

2nd point: Don't play outside bets! They give you the worst payouts in the game, and can ruin you quick.

I am a strong believer in betting on straight up numbers.  They give the best odds of all the bets, and you can put single unit bets on them, 'low risk for maximum profit'.

I profit quite nicely on the outside bets.  I don't have to restrict myself to playing every spin and can move back and forth between tables.

Actually, all the bets in roulette have exactly the same payout, there in no best bet as far as payouts go. The only exception is the 0-1-2-3 bet. Betting a single inside number has the same payout as betting on red, do the math.

I would say to put $40 on the 35/36 split. They would INSTEAD, put $20 on 35 and $20 on 36, give me a wink and tell me they are helping out...."I'll get paid more" if it hits.  I let them split my chips, why should I argue? lol  Ken

just curios as to which system or strategy you are playing on the outside bets as per your quote.

i have found that playing 2x dozen at the same time either flat bet or with a minimax type of betting strategy works quite well -

do you have more profitable/constant hit and run on outside bets?

Noone has a consistent winning bet or system...because there isn t any.
But some mongolian members that have lose a fortune in Roulette ,they claim that they have a winning system....
this is because they don t play Roulette anymore and they just want to fool around

For example:
Spike is a sick person that claims he can beat roulette(without AP methods).
Spike is all day long (at least 14 hours daily) logged in VLS and post all the time messages....
A person that can beat roulette is a person that is traveling and making money from it and he does never care about posting empty words in a forum....
This was an example now multiply this example X10 and u have all the fake winners....
