Randomness as Meaning

I knew it was B in less than one second, without any doubt. I've only read the top few lines. But I had to stop on this first issuance of the classic assumption.

"This article describes how, in our search for order and purpose in life, people sometimes assign meaning to events that are objectively random and devoid of meaning."

The truth is that somehow those that think about randomness from a nearly blind perspective forget to think beyond the same old conclusion. They think that you stop on meaningfulness. The point is not to take on a magical belief system but to not take it all so seriously, like meaning. The point is to use the illusion of meaning as a formation without cause, dependency, or as a predictive belief. But that's the same place, all over again. It always gets stuck with the interpretation of the form as being predictive. The truth about coincidence is that it just happens. A prepared mind doesn't let it take over the control it takes to use it as a tool and nothing more.

I've used the phrase "reading randomness" to make the point. At the time I didn't disclose the method. I use the same thing that Ellison says in his book. And I have been using is from day one since I've been discussing Roulette on the internet. You must read the table and know what it's doing. Last night I had the same 12 numbers basically sleep for three straight hours. They hit no more than six times and four of them hit as HH, notH, HH, notH, notH, notH, etc... during that three hours. I was able to read what the table was doing. It was a real simple thing to just flat bet the other numbers for three hours and to lay off the 12 numbers for a while when it changed. But then it went back to hitting the same 26 other numbers so I kept with it.

When I attempt to see if I'm looking for what the table might be doing, or if it will coincidentally show me something that I can recognize, am I looking at image "A" or image "B" from the article? Even this article is a demonstration of reading randomness. At least it is from the standpoint of demonstrating a counterfeit.

No, that's absurd.

Your state of mind and subjective observations do not influence the random process and change its odds. (and yes by having a real/physical edge you are changing the odds) - Under controlled conditions, this can be proven with any human being (including yourself) and that's the whole point of that study.

It is impossible to discuss Roulette with you. Your mind is so full, like a full cup, that you can't see past your own shadow. BTW, here is that same old lame assumption again. You must be dumb and blind too. Guessing whats coming next correctly more often than not changes the edge from the house, to you. Theres no denying that.

I guessed B also. I looked at the white and not the dots and the white on B was far more random than on A.
