Wiz of Odds Gets Backed Off While Playing

The Wizard of Odds reports on his Vegas site that while playing 3 card Poker in Nov at the Vegas Hilton,  "cold water was thrown onto my mood when somebody in a suit stood next to me and said "I'm watching you." What a nice way to make a player feel welcome." The casino was trying to intimidate him into not playing.

I had this happen to me in the 90's a couple times when I was playing BJ. They never spoke, though, they would just stand next to you to let you know they knew you were counting cards. The fact that money is so tight now in Vegas that they're doing it on 3 Card Poker is somewhat disturbing, to say the least.

Then why do you think they let you win on regular basis for so long? Seriously.

At roulette? They don't suspect system using roulette players of winning consistantly. Also, I play Rapid Roulette and airball whenever possible. There's no pit, nobody is watching or cares what you do. In card games they're always watching. I got kicked out of the old Klondike Casino in Vegas years ago and I wasn't even counting. I won $300 by accident and they asked me to leave and even refused to seat us in the buffet with the coupon my wife had. If I had won $300 at roulette, nobody would even have noticed.

Good for you then. I think that the European casinos (I've played at) wouldn't let that happen.
