The octopus Paul has a 100 per cent success rate for all five of Germany's fixtures during World Cup 2010, including their 1-0 defeat to Serbia. In his latest psychic act, that attracted the attention of German television, Paul opted for European champions Spain over his home nation Germany.

On the other hand...

There is pretty obvious semi-circle elegant pattern of the World Cup winners, which predicts Germany to win the tournament. [see attached image]

Netherland 10
Germany 15

Brazil  5.6, England  9.6, Argentina  7.2 , and Italy  18 were  also mentioned  but we know  what happened to them.

May I also add that even  BEFORE the   first ball was kicked   Spain was on top of the list at BETFAIR  as the winner of the world cup  with   odds  of  4.9   and the Netherlands at 10.

The  ones in between were  eliminated. 

Spain controlled the ball 80 %  during  the  first half.

I must say Spain absolutely played brilliantly. I feel sorry for Germany. They will be a strong unit for some time to come. Very young team.

The Spanish just has so much ball controle and their passing is something out of this World. The Dutch will have a hard time containing them. I think Spanish people are very selfish....................they hold on to the ball and deny poor Germany some possession!  (Just kidding!)

Ive got such confidence Spain is going to win the World Cup that i cant see how it could be a Dutch win.
I know why. Spain has too many dangerous players to control while Dutch team is too much dependant upon Sneider and Robben. Great pressure upon first dutch line ( Uruguay did it very well indeed) when they want to start combining, cutting conection among middle and attacking players.
Spain would suffer much more against southamerica's teams because of that pressure. European teams let rivals play. It is like comitting suicide doing so against such great players like Xavi Hernandez, Iniesta, Xabi Alonso and Busquets. They feel at ease controlling the game because of high balloon posession.
Spain will repeat last team. Pedro is an incredible player so he'll repeat in the position of Fernando Torres because he is not having good performances lately. Not well known outside Spain but an incredible player. Remember his name, just Pedro.

According to a German tabloid  Paul the Octopus  predicted that Spain will   win the WC  and Germany will win the  third place.

Paul the psychic octopus has predicted Spain will beat Holland and win World Cup 2010 while Germany shall be triumphant in the third and fourth place play-off. The information from yesterday, Holland to win it, was a photoshop joke of a Dutch tabloid.

The thing is, the only incorrect guess Paul has made so far is the Euro '08 final.
