Goofy things you did as a rookie player

It does not have to be bet related but things you look back at now and think....WTF? I have two.

A) For the first couple weeks (playing roulette), I would always ask the dealer if it was okay if I went to the bathroom. Thinking, if I got up, I would lose my seat (lol).

B) I now use a 4x6 notebook for some methods but when I started out, I would bring in a 10.5x8 college notebook. (Everybody laughed at me  )

At my local casino, apparently you dont have to ask. Just wee in your pants or on the floor. Believe it or not, thats what some people have done. And it is not uncommon throughout the world. How's that for a gambling problem?

A common mistake I would make is panic and no discipline. Too many "lucky spins with big bets". But that was more gambling, not professional play.

That is close to my goofy thing, and I suppose it's a common one - drinking too much at the table then busting for a piss so bad that when deep in a progression you have to abandon the game and run to the toilet! Ridiculous!

My brother and I used to smoke cigars at the blackjack table. We were new to the whole thing and thought we were bigshots betting our £5 a hand.  We must have looked a right pair of dorks. The funny thing is that I don't even smoke.
