Dealer lost out

Had a first on Sat**day. I did quite well and wanted to tip the dealer but I do things a little different. I would rather place bets for the dealer(s) and if they hit, its MORE money for them. I was done playing and I put $600 aside for tipping. 3 numbers per spin, $10 per number. So its a nice $350 for them on a hit.

I tell the dealer (and floor) before I start but I always have one SIMPLE request. On a hit, I want the $10 back so I can re-bet it again for them, they get the $350 anyways. I have NEVER had an issue with this in the past, until yesterday. Usually, as long as you ask PRIOR to spinning, its not a problem. Well, this a** floor person said, no no..... the dealer gets it all on a hit. I said, whats the big issue if I'm re-betting it for THEM? He would not give in.

  Being the jerk that I am, I thought...f**k it, then they get nothing. So I colored in and the dealer(s) did not get a dollar. I dont think I was wrong on this?
