Hey guys,

Been a while since I've posted here. Besides the thread I made the other day asking for the name of a software. Anyway, I needed someone to tell me what the average number of loses that would occur with a certain strategy.

Basically the strategy is that you wait for the ball to land in two different columns one after the other, after this, you bet on the column it landed on last. You don't bet on the 'sleeper', you bet on the second column it landed on. So if it landed on Column A and then Column B, bet on Column B. After a loss, wait until it happens again..

Progression: 1, 1, 1, 2, 2, 2, 3, 4, 4, 4, 6, 6, 6, 9, 10, 30, 45, 67

I'm too much of a wimp to test this out, but when doing it mentally it tends to profit. I just can't be bothered doing more than about 100 spins. I've tried teaching myself RX again but it's daunting. I just want to know on average how many losses you can expect so I can adapt my strategy, then again if anyone has any tips that I'm not considering, that'd be cool too.

Thanks!

Hi Jd,

Your progression is all messed up, and basically guaranteed roulette suicide.

After the 4th attempt (1.1.1.2) you are never in profit again, you're just throwing money away chasing a winner, which is sheer madness.

Following through your progression you would have some chance of winning if you went into virtual mode for selected stages of the progression, and if a winner arrived while in virtual mode you would lose, but not nearly as much as if you had bet each time. You would start again at the first step of your progression if that happened.

The unit win/loss for your progression is;
+2, +1, 0, +1,-1, 0, -3, -4, -8, -12, -18, -24, -30, -24, -31, -1, 0, -1

If you apply virtual bets the progression  goes,
1, 1, 1, 2, V, V, 3, 4, V, V, 6, V, V, 9, V, 30, 45, 67

The unit win/loss for the virtual progression is;
+2, +1, 0, +1, V, V, +1, 0, V, V, 0, V, V, 0, V, +3, +33, +32

The accumulated loss on your progression is -202 units.

The accumulated loss on the virtual progression is -169 units.

It's still not a good bet, but much better than your original.

Ah, well that's disappointing, I was about to try this as-well. Good job you told me. But what do you mean by virtual progression?
