Double Dozen strike
August 11, 2016, 06:02:15 PM
Hello,

Last night before going to bed I suddenly got an idea for a double dozen play; it really seemed worth a try so I thought I'd just try the next day. But I just couldn't sleep because I was so excited to find out how well or bad it would do, thinking it'll probably win more often than it loses.
So today I kept playing it on a basic roulette app on my phone and it appeared to work pretty well, bankroll going up fast and decreasing slowly on loses. Loses are not very often, much less often than the wins anyway.

Got home today and tried it for real on RNG, I made about 280£ in about 30 min with it, playing 10£ a unit. Bankroll was a bout 575£.

I thought about it based on two observations:
- Usually after a dozen gets hit, the next hit is one of the other two dozens.
- Often one dozen hits twice, sometimes three times, even less often four times, and five times in a row on rare occasions but I haven't seen that yet in many spins.

So this is how I play it, it's quite simple but seems efficient, I just bet against the last dozen and cover the zero, with a small progression after a loss.

 - After hit one hit on a dozen I bet 1 unit on the other two dozens, and bet 0.1 Unit on the zero. So 10£ on each and 1£ on the zero in my case.
- After two hits on the same dozen, I bet the same on the same dozens. Usually one gets the next hit.
- After three hits on the same dozen, I double the bet and play 2 Units on each dozen and 0.2 on the zero. If I win this step I go back to playing 1 unit on the two dozen that weren't hit and keep the 0.1 unit on the zero.
- After four hits on the same dozen I double again, so now 4 unit on each dozen and 0.4 on the zero.
- After five hits on the same dozen, I wipe the sweat off my face, I've lost - never happened but it most certainly will eventually.

So the progression would be 1-1 // 1-1 // 2-2 // 4-4 // 8-8, while having the zero covered at all times, 0.1, 0.1 ,0.2, 0.4, 0.8.

What seems good about this is that playing against the last dozen wins very often, if I loose once and then it hits, I'm not a new high but I get there in a few wins and they are very frequent. I've seen 20 hits in a row or more.

In this play the zero is a friend, he's good news and you win more with him that you would have winning one of the dozens.
Also after the zero hits, I don't bet on the next spin, and then bet against the dozen that just got hit.

It seems to do well flat betting too, but too many WLWLLWWLLL etc .. would be bad. Tried it with levels of progression like 1-1 // 2-2 // 2-2 // 3-3 // 5-5, stepping right after a loss (unless two wins occurred before the loss) and resetting after two wins a a level. Did well here too.

Nothing here is really decided, it's more of a bet selection actually, but after seeing how well it did tonight I thought it's worth sharing. My issue now is how to deal with having 4 or 5 times the same dozen hitting, maybe people here might a have an idea.

It could be played with bettings that always gets you in profit after a win, like 1 3 9 but for the next two spins that would be a lot of money at 10£ a unit and the wins are so often that it doesn't seem necessary, at this early stage anyway.

The idea is to have a double dozen system that easily absorbs rare occasions like 4 or 5 hits on the same dozen, and if so, who knows it might get closer to being a good system and further away from the Holy Fail status  :). Let me know what you think, I'll try this with on Roulette Extreme and real spins from Weisbaden.

I'm hoping players here might have clues to tweak it - if it's worth it - and make it better.

This is what I think: you are wasting your time and, hopefully, not your money.  Nothing ''usually'' happens.  Everything happens. You just dont know when.
Progressions will NEVER make you win on the long run.
You want to win? Forget all outside bets, streets and DBstreets. This is for losers. Bet straight up numbers. How you chose those numbers?  Do your homework..

Insider,

Thanks for replying. I hope too I won’t waste money on this, I’m tweaking the progression for less risk and will test it today with fat betting. After all anything with a good strike rate shouldn’t need a progression if it’s good.

I agree with you that Gambler’s fallacy shouldn't rule decisions but some things do seem to happen more or less often than others; like 37 different numbers in 37 spins, a dozen hitting 5+ times in a row or 5 zeros in a row etc … isn’t this less frequent? Anything can happen but I guess it’s about not being there when it does or have a strategy for the rare occurrence.

I’m not the greatest fan of progressions but don’t dismiss them either, from reading a lot it seems to have its merit when used correctly, and not getting bad luck hehe

I like inside bets too, it sure is the best way to go to bet on one, two maybe three numbers and with a good bet selection it’s golden. So far the two best inside numbers system I’ve found are Four Spins to Win from Rjeaton and a couple from Mr J. which I need to read more.

I started playing inside bets at the beginning too but with only 100u bankroll I wanted to have more chances to build it up so learned some outside bet systems.

Yes some ''things'' happen very infrequently.  But they do happen.  And if 0 has hit 5 times in a row, there is still a 1-37 chance that it will hit again. No more, no less. When someone realizes this (for REAL), it changes the whole perspective on the game. One will start to differently at ways the game can be beaten.  And it can.  As I have stated many times before, none of ways the game can be beaten are easy to implement.  Again, if there was an ''easy'' way to beat the game, dont you think most serious players would know about it by now?
As far as progressions are concerned, they will only make you lose more if you have a negative EV and vice versa.

Haven’t posted because I got quite busy; First of all apologies for posting this here as I noticed this board is for Full Roulette Systems ONLY, didn't see that before; What I’m doing is certainly not a full system, more of a way to play that got lucky with.

Might have some good to it if betting against a dozen repeating, because playing against the last dozen means you will always have a win before a loss, and even better, it allows to skip one step when doing a progression; I’m playing with a 5 steps progression, which in this play means you can take a 6 times in row dozen before losing.

I don't do it anymore because it's a bit of a grind to come back from a loss and I eventually got two quite close which I'm still coming back from. Might be worth waiting for a dozen to repeat and have a 4 steps progression.

I’ve made something that might be useful for other members, a Bet Calculator for double dozens - can be used for single dozen progression too; I’ve also included a Zero insurance in the calculator because I always cover it, really worth it.
It's all with formulas so you can just type in the numbers you have in mind for your progression and adjust the risk/reward as you wish. Much better than picking the calculator every time  :)

I still think that a system that can tank a 6 in a row dozen and recover quickly would be a winner but I don't know how unless maybe you wait for 2 or 3 dozen repeat and bet 3 times.

**** Ignore Bet calculator above, I've made a mistake before uploading >:D ****

Corrected it and the right one is in this post.

I forgot to mention, there is a column for a double and single win prior to losing so you can see where you end up say after too wins and 3 losses. Helps to adjust progression style.

Those two columns, +WW and +W are the only ones that need a manual input, you need to add what you get after two or one win in the formula and simply drag the new formula down on other cases.

-- Example --
In the template I've posted I've put a classic 1 3 9 27, so 1£/$/€ for 1 unit.

So in WW+ the formula is =G2+2
in   W+ the formula is =G2+1

Then click on the bottom right corner of the first case and drag down to apply the formula to the cases below.

For those not used to excel stuff, be aware that you can copy and paste the entire table anywhere and it will always keep all the formulas so you can easily compare different ideas side by side :)
