Question about testing

Hey everyone,

I've only just signed up here but have been lurking and reading and learning for quite some time.  Learned a great deal, even where systems turned out not to be to my liking (or just plain didn't work).  Trying to outthink the Devil's Wheel is a great pastime. So thanks to those who have contributed previously.

I believe I am getting close to a system which makes modest but reliable returns (no getting rich quick) without disturbing table limits.  It's obviously not completely foolproof - no system is - but it's looking promising so far.

My question is how many spins you all think a system must endure before you can be confident it is a consistent winner.  So for instance, the system I am tinkering with has a gain of 500 units over 1500 spins so far.  1500 spins is probably still to few to have confidence, but when would others feel confident?  10,000 spins?  20k?

Grateful for any contributions.
