I want to tell you guys a story. PLEASE take time to read it!! It's TRUE!

When I was in my 20s I wanted to learn refrigeration.  I was at a parts house buying books and lots of tools and equipment specific to the trade.  An older man began laughing at me and telling me I could never learn anything from books and that my endeavor was pure folly.  He went on to say that only by going to school for years could a person learn refrigeration.

I wanted to tell him that just because he could not learn from books didn't mean I couldn't.  I also wanted to ask if there were books in these schools.  I didn't.

I learned refrigeration in a matter of days.  It's really quite simple!  I made thousands upon thousands of dollars selling used fridges I had fixed.  I made more thousands fixing them in homes.  I am now comfortably retired from that day I went to that parts house.  (And other things.)

WHAT IF I HAD LISTENED TO HIM?

The greatest satisfaction of my whole career was when that same man had a problem he could not solve and he called me for help.

I helped him without a word.  Actually, I was returning a favor.  Had he not made fun of me, I might never have worked as hard as I did to become a success.

Some people are in your path for a purpose!  Believe that!

Life has a meaning and a purpose. There are people on the other side of the curtain waiting for you to fulfill that. They could be your children, your future generations, friends you haven't met yet, people who will benefit from your work even after you die.... and so on.

People realize this immediately after they die. Hence, no evidence.

You create your own meaning in life. For me, it comes from learning, achieving goals, growing and contributing.

There is no right answer. If you were abandoned in the jungle as a child and had no human contact, when you were grown you would have a different idea of the world than you do now. You would see no sense to it, just life dying and being born every day. No evil, no good, just what is. When add our stupid concepts to that simplicity is where all our troubles begin.
