I just read about a croupier who said if someone is winning too much, they change the speed of the wheel and spin the ball up to 20 revolutions as opposed to 4 or 5 revolutions to break the winning cycle.  Does that mean much if you have a strong system?

Marilyn Vos Savant says that 7 good shuffles of a deck of cards is all that is necessary; all other shuffles are just wasted time.  I'll bet she'd also say that when the rotor has turned x and the ball has spun y times, no more spinning is necessary.

Good question, Proof.  Many have discussed that and I've had dealers/croupiers tell me much the same thing.  Or they pick up the ball and count to four. Or use a heavier/lighter ball.

Some put a big ol' booger on the ball and that really drives me nuts!!

i do not think it makes any difference big balls small balls the speed of the wheel  say i back number 20. who knows where the ball will land. fast or slow the odds are the same.runs of luck come to a end. so we blame the dealer. i sometimes have  sixty bets without a winner and still come out in front.there are 37. or 38 slots on the board how often can you guess right. most of the spinners i see  have no interest in who wins and who loses its not there money.  and no tipping in australia. the mythbusters   shoud have a look at the roulette wheel and prove once and for all that it is pure chance. good luck

Hi All,

I have been told by dealers that they do things like you say when someone has been winning.
Maybe not winning big but a few times within only a few spins - enough for the dealer to notice.

The reason for them to "change the pattern", I've been told, is just that: To change the pattern.
They say they are actually ordered to.
Many times they do their job in a repetitive way, also regarding the time it takes between spins ( = position of the wheel at ball-release).
If someone is winning a few times within a few spins, the dealers suspect they are going into a repetitive pattern and they try to change it.
(This is also coming into play at wheels where they alter the direction every spin. Or; so they say.)

And so they wait just a bit longer before releasing the ball, give the wheel an extra push, switch balls or whatever.

Conclusion: It's done in order to avoid Dealer's Signatures.
(But they do NOT admit that - at least not using "the DS word")

We can test that if you wont.
I can use my wheel at home.

The first thing we got to do is to make it clear as water, what we are going to do.
One simpel test could be to drop the ball from the same pocket every time I spin the ball and spin the ball with the same motion and not change the speed of the wheel rotation.

Just to see if a sector of 12 numbers would hit above expectation.

Suggestions?
