Inspired by mattymattz' line method, I offer you...(big drum roll) Chicken Dinner's 5-Line Count Method:

BET SELECTION:

1st Bet:  Lines (Double Streets) 2, 3, 4, 5, & 6. Eg, 1 unit on 7-12, 1 unit on 13-18, etc.

2nd Bet: Lines 1,3,4,5,6

3rd Bet:  Lines 1,2,4,5,6

4th Bet: Lines 1,2,3,5,6

5th Bet: Lines 1,2,3,4,6

6th Bet: Lines 1,2,3,4,5

Now repeat the above.

In sum, we are betting against the lines hitting in a 123456 sequence. So by betting a unit on each of the 5 lines, we gain 1 unit every time they do not follow a counting pattern.

The only time we increase the units is after 1 loss. In which case we risk 5 x 3 (15) units to gain back 3 units against the 5 we just lost

You'll rarely lose the 15 unit bet (I think there is a 91% probability of hitting), but if you do, it's easy to recover.

Here's a 48 spin session

314241 W6 L0
564023 W7 L5
126213 W4 L20
666215 W6 L0
334632 W6 L0
363225 W7 L5
465153 W6 L0
446513 W6 L0

Profit: 18 units

This is very easy and fun to play, no charting required. You bet every spin and don't need a big bank roll. Like any system, losing steaks are of course possible, but unlikely.

Aim for 10% of your BR. Aim to break even if you lose 25% of your BR. Quit if you lose 50%.

Happy winnings!

Cheers,
CD

This looks interesting. One thing...when you profit, do you start over, or just following the 1,2,3,4,5,6 sequence? And when would you enter a betting session, after a DS1 hits?

cps10

Another thing...sorry for being so thickheaded:

If you lose the Bet 1 (5 units) and win the Bet 3 (3 units), do you stay with the 3 unit bet until full recovery?

I long time ago I developed very similar system. The knowledge from that one is that if you repeat monotone the same strategy it will caught you sooner or later. Roulette spreads extreme formations, which catch our system not flexible enough. Start to bet your 6 formation and if you finish it successfully bet the next 6 formation exactly the opposite direction.
Start from the back and work it to the front.
Instead of betting 2,3,4,5,6 again bet 1,2,3,4,5..... 1,2,3,4,6.... 1,2,3,5,6..... 1,2,4,5,6..... 1,3,4,5,6..... 2,3,4,5,6, next 2,3,4,5,6 and so on... What about pluscoup progression after loss? There should be a lot of nolinksnolinksww's.

Hi guys,

@CPS10 - I just play the 2,3,4,5,6 from the first spin & and follow the sequence until I've hit my target. I only increase the bet (5 x 3) once after the first loss and then return to the 5 X 1 unit bet. You hit massive runs of Ws, so most of the time you should be able to recover by only risking the 5 x 3 after an L.

@hermes - the forward and back pattern is an interesting variation. I'll have to try that. I suppose any pattern will get caught out eventually though. But unless you are very unlucky, this should not happen too often.

The pluscoup progression is a interesting idea - you'll hit your target a lot quicker in a W run, but things could also get of hand easily if you hit a bad run, that's why I prefer to only risk increasing the units after an L. Like any system, I guess it's down to the player's personal preference.

I was also thinking that let's say you are betting on 1,2,3,4,5 and a 4 comes up. You have a win. Then maybe bet 5,6,1,2,3? Then again, that would be bad with repeats.

Maybe if you do the following:

12345
12346
12356
12456
13456
23456

Then maybe you switch it up to whichever hits last, so that after that 6-bet sequence, you play AGAINST the last line hit. So if on the 23456 bet, 3 hits, then you would start the sequence without the 3:

12456
13456
23456
12345
12346
12356

Thoughts?

mmm another twist in the tail.. how bout playing the lines that hit ? and leave out the sleeper? :D

I've found the continuous 123456 works well for some reason, but whatever bet selection method is used, the long term results will be the same - most days it will work, every now and then it won't. So I guess it is down whatever method gives the player the most mental peace.

I think the more you try to complicate the sequence based on the last spins, the more you delve into gambler's fallacy. But that's just my opinion.

I hade to quote you on that and thanks for a nice post.

What about to go more into detail and bet not two periodic streets. Many times only half the line hits and we could be lucky. E.g. :
123456789,10 - 123456789,12 - 12345678,11,12 - 1234567,10,11,12 and so on...

That's a good idea Hermes, and it got me thinking about something. This could work for streets or lines: How about you repeat the winning bet until it loses and only then do you move on in the sequence. The point being, if there's a sleeping line (or street) about, there's a good chance that you'll eventually be betting against it, and then when it wakes, you move on down the table (but not moving on a zero hit) and hopefully it won't be too long before you're betting against the next sleeper. Obviously some sessions will not have many big sleepers, but for those that do, you'll clean up in no time! Just a thought.

Hi Chicken dinner

Man, just tried your method on some live numbers I have from the local casino, and within 16 spins i HAVE ALREADY LOST 4 times, meaning two complete bankrolls of 20x$10 ($200) i.e. $400 total, paper testing it.

This method I would have to describe as "Lemon Duck" Chicken dinner, looks like, a bit of a dud really, considering it didn't hold up when first time I used it.

Here's my results, correct me if I'm not playing it right.

No
11 win (line: 23456)
25 win (13456)
20 win (12456)
33 win (12356)
29 loss (12346)  -5 units
36 loss (12345)  -15 units

20 win
26 win
29 win
17 win
15 win
13 win

7 win (23456)
22 win (13456)
14 loss (12456)  -5 units
17 loss (12356)  -15 units

OUCH!!!!!!  -40 UNITS + 9 UNITS = -31UNITS (Of which you have to have at least 3 Bankrolls to continue play, to try and recoup heavy losses.

You say quit if you loose 50% of your bankroll, I can see this may happen every time you play this way.

Doesn't look good at all, surely, there must be better methods out there than this!

ChickenDinner

Hey Clint,

Lol, you were unlucky. Any system can fall over at any time, whether it be the 1st, 10th, or 50th time you play.

What I would say though, is if you're playing with £10 chips, ideally your BR should be $1,000 (1%), in which case you were down $280 (28 units just over 25%). So if you're following my rules, you should have kept playing to break even.

What's interesting is if you look at my above "idea" post, you would have won every bet by staying on 23456, making $160 profit. ;)
