Hello. please consider this analogy.

Imagine you are in prision and have £10,000 to bet with. This money can only be used to gamble with. Each week you must make at least one bet and each bet must be at least £100 stake but can be more if you want.

The challenge is this. If and when you grow your bank to £100,000, you are freed from prison and get to keep the money. However, if you go bust at any point, you get executed. There is no time limit on this challenge other then the length of your life.

Now this example should hammer home the point that discipline and good money management is crucial to long term profits. Anyone who bets differently to this is extremely unlikely to be profitable in the long term assuming they genuinely want to make long term profits.

I agree with you that discipline is important. You wait for the conditions to turn until you have on hell of a chnace to win a single bet.One of the positive attributes essential to become a successful player.

I understand the discipline part.  However, isn't the point of gambling is in part to enjoy it?  That execution part if you bust??  With that -2.7 house edge???

Let's make this a training case.

This is the Case.

Russian Roulette

You get a 10.000,- BR. Every week your bankroll should increase by 5%. When you have doubled your bankroll you have won. Every bet you loose I'll put a single bullet in a 6 chamber mag, rotate and pull the trigger.

Can you double your bankroll  ;D

I'm kind of trying that now (without the death part). If i succeed with my experiment i live mortgage free.If i mess up then i have thrown away a chance of a free house, kind of.

Thats all the inspiration i need at the moment.Every bet won is another few bicks of the house that are all mine and not the banks.
